I want to share some magical news I received yesterday. Qantas phoned my fiancee and we have won a round the world trip for two!

For our honeymoon we will be traveling the world, going anywhere we please to the total value of $20,400 in flights, and flying business class. This means we can go on a honeymoon, originally it wasn't looking that affordable because of the cost of the wedding, now we have a honeymoon from heaven.

Isn't that wonderful, It will be published I think as per the terms and conditions of Qantas's website for the 'oneworld' comp on the 16th of June in 'The Australian'.

Around the world for our honeymoon, how utterly awesome!

Any recommendations on continent (s) ? lol! biggrin.gif

Thanks smile.gif We just got a few more brochures... (9 or so lol!)

Africa is a must on the list, and so is Europe, (Germany, France, Italy and Greece because they are all pretty close, then from there maybe London underground from Paris, (I think thats how that works) Then i was looking at Anarctica the brochure is so pretty, the animals took my breath away, i started telling H2B we need a backup camera while trying to down a cappuccino at Gloria Jeans just now.. lol I didnt realize how many beautiful options there were, or at least I didn't expect to afford to be able to even see them! I think the Ts & Cs are being posted to us so this week i will know more! :-)

After the wedding if the Ts and Cs allow from the end of November to the end of Feb which gives us 3 months. Paris yes most defiantly smile.gif

The first few nights and the last few we will stay at a really nice motel, (no idea where or what country yet) but it will be exquisite, then for the rest of it we want to soak in as much culture and diversity as we can, even if it means not staying at a 4 or 5 star motel, and then for the last 2 nights or so, another 5 star motel just to pamper before we get back. (Back to Uni, and work) *yerch*

How exciting, how long until the wedding?

Were you entered into like a frequent flyer competition, is that how you won it?

Pink it was a Qantas Comp to celebrate three new airlines joining the Oneworld Alliance, you had to play a little travel game online to enter, answering questions about different destinations to progress through the game. I know this because I entered laugh.gif

"Two draws will take place at midday 8 June 2007 at MDSA, 15 Grosvenor St, Neutral Bay, NSW, 2089. Winners will be notified in writing by 10 June 2007 and their names will be published in The Australian' newspaper on 15 June 2007."

Make sure you buy a copy of the Australian, don't wait until the 16th and get the wrong edition and miss seeing the lucky names smile.gif

WOW! Congratulations!
I used to work in travel and as a general rule most people went through the South Paciffic - Hawaii?? Or Fiji?? to LA then New York, London, Paris, Singapore or Thailant then Home...

I'll give you a tip tho... if you go via America FIRST... you get more luggage allowance! I know you get more anyways because you are going business class but who knows you might need all the weight limits you can get by the time you get home! tongue.gif

Do you know what sort of ticket you get? Because that could be the deciding factor on where you go. Most round the world tickets are based on milage however a few are continent based.

Congrats on a great win! I bet you will have a great time!

Enjoy!
