That has to be the very best birthday ever!
I'm getting married!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lee proposed today, after tricking me and it was just so beautiful. I cried through the whole thing.
He took me into Bills for brunch, then we headed to Mosman for some window shopping, then down to Bradley's Head for a picnic. I thought it would happen down there. Well, he was very blah, and tired, wanting to sleep. I wanted to stay there no matter how tired I was!!
Eventually he convinced me to go home for a nap as he said he was taking me out tonight, so I then thought it would happen tonight. So, dejectedly I got in the car and we came home.
I arrived home busting to go to the loo, walked in my door and the house was covered in rose petals!! It looked stunning, and the table was beautifully set for two.
I followed the trail up to my bedroom and saw my bed covered in petals, with a wooden box in the middle. He picked it up, dropped to his knee and asked me!! ******SQUEAL********
I am just so excited, my face is hurting from smiling, and my voice is going from talking for 3 solid hours! My two best friends secretly did my house up, and I am mortified as it was a disgrace! They are so lovely, they made my bed and even did my washing up!
Anyway, so here are some photos. I could bore you with hundreds, but we'll start with four.
Part of the house:
My stunnorama ring that I am in love with!
And the side on view, showing the little pink sapphires down the bottom.
I am just so thrilled to be able to tell the world I am marrying to most wonderful man! I still can't believe someone was silly enough to agree to marry me!
Yea, so there's my soppy story.

I got home from work, went upstairs, grabbed a basket of washing and changed into my flannie jammies with a whole in the bum! I came downstairs and he was standing at the bottom of the stairs with a bunch of flowers and a glass of champange. He knelt down and asked me to marry him. He had been out having lunch with my mum and dad to ask their permission, and I thought he was helping his friend move house. Funny part was they all came back to see me at work after they'd had lunch and greeted each other like they hadn't seen each other for ages!
Haha holey PJ's and holey in the bum classic!
Me? We had been down at dads house, I was in the car, barping the horn so KLay would hurry up - didn't know he was asking my dad's permission. He finally got into the car, I took off driving (was on L's at the time) we stopped at some traffic lights, I told Klay off coz he was fiddling behind my seat. We pulled around the corner, he opened a box, it caught my eye and he said "Will this fit?" I pulled over (probably cut a few people off) got out of the car and promplty started crying and blubbering a whole heap of crap...love my boy...

He gave me a card from my mum and it had some money in it for my birthday, so i said I was just going to call her to say thankyou. He said hang on a minute and gave me a bag from the jewellers - i thought that he had bought me a necklace that i'd seen in the shop.
I opened the bag and the box was too small for a necklace, so was a bit puzzled I opened the box and inside was the most gorgoeus white gold ring. I had seen it 2 years ago and drooled over it many times (even before i met him).
He knelt down and told me how much he loved me and that he wanted me to be his wife
I called my mum to say thanks for the $$$ and when she asked what i got for my birthday i said "an engagement ring"

Ally was always openly anti-marriage. Over time, I slowly began to realise he was never going to ask me. That did not mean I was going to give up completely though! Every now and then I would decide to make him break out into a cold sweat by talking about getting married, showing him rings, talking about where it would happen ecetera.
While we were on Holidays over summer we made a trip to Melbourne. It was January 2007, stinking hot and a little uncomfortable at times! I'd spent a couple of days poking fun at Ally by pointing out rings, explaining what I would like, giving him lessons on various rings around. I thought he was just humouring me and laughing behind my back as per usual.
On one night, after it being SO hot, we decided to have fish and chips on the beach at St Kilda. It was 9pm and still 38 degrees! Ally decided we should go for a walk, and the friends we were with minded Tara for the time we were away. We walked around the beach, and I was starting to get suspicious! Though, I'd been suspicious on many other occasions, and nothing had ever eventuated!
We were talking about weddings and getting married while walking around, and I once again, just thought he was poking fun at me and winding me up.
We ended up sittingon the pier at St Kilda beach, and sat and talked, joking about the type of ring I would like...
"So, let me get this right... you want a coloured stone, preferably Emerald Cut, Sapphire or Topaz, white gold, a couple of diamonds, nothing too expensive...?"
"Yeah, something like that..." I replied.
"So" pops up a ringbox with a ring in it, "This won't cut it?"
Speachless, and coughs "Er, um.. wow... no! That will be fine!"
"Is this your way of asking me to Marry you?"
"I guess it is... Yes!"
"Then yes, I accept!"
**This is me paraphrasing after the blur of girlie squealing took over my brain**
So there it was. We were engaged! I could not believe it. A little shocked to say the least. I'd wanted it so bad, that I was certain it would never come. Ally was quite vocal against marriage.
It seams he had a change of heart.

Scott sent me a text at work back in November 05 telling me not to plan anything for my birthday weekend as he had it sorted. I was suprised but really excited. Everyone at work (I worked in an office full of girls) kept telling me how romantic it was and that he would have to be proposing. I thought absolutely nothing of it.
On the 13th we got in the car, drove, he pulled up at the airport and checked in for a flight to Hamilton Island!
On the morning of my birthday we went snorkelling then went on a speed boat ride to Whitehaven Beach. We were lying on the sand looking at the amazing view and then Scott told me to close my eyes while he got my birthday present. He then told me to open my eyes and all I could see was this huge ring while he tried to propose but we were both in fits of hysterics. Of course I said yes and then spent the rest of the day in the clouds.
It was a great weekend!

Simon proposed to Amelia on the 7th of August 2006.
It was quite a chilly winters night, and simon suggested that we go for a drive, after much debate from Amelia (it was way to cold!), she agreed and they where off.
(at this stage getting very sus)
As Simon pulled up at the beach it was becoming clearer to Amelia what was going on. As they got out of the car the sky was clear, there was a million stars and the beautiful full moon shining down on them.
They walked down on the beach and went for a short walk, when Simon got down on one knee and poped the question! And of course Amelia said yes.
It was all very romantic.
And as they say the rest is history!

we ended up having a seat next to the river, underneath the big fire columns (melb girls will know what i mean!!). he got down on one knee and asked me, and produced the same ring that i had tried on in a jeweller eight months before! of course i blubbered and cried for the next hour
the funny thing was that our parents were both waiting for the phone call to say that we were engaged - everybody knew but me!!

Just before Christmas last year h2b decided that we should go out for our own Christmas dinner. I didnt really suspect anything but the fact that he organised where we were going and the date without asking me did surprise me a bit.
He organised a Sydney harbour dinner cruise on a Friday night, I got ready at work and met him there, we waited to board the boat, it was quite a hot night and I was happy to finally get on board. He had even paid the extra money to get a guaranteed window seat.
We had our entree and main and while we were waiting for dessert, he asked if I wanted to go upstairs to look around. I said no, I probably ruined that part of his plan but it didnt phase him. He then started to say some things to me about how much he loves me etc and then he pulled the ring out and said "will you be my wife" . I think I stumbled a bit trying to say yes but I got it out and the ring fit perfectly, as he had stolen a ring of mine to make sure. I was actually scared that the table next to us heard him I didnt want a big fuss at the time !!
It was a lovely night we then went up to the top deck to enjoy the view with everyone else.

Every saturday we go to dinner at my grandparents, My aunty and 2 cousins come and sometimes my dad, stepmum and step brother. Tim was making a really big deal about my dad coming on saturday but he kept saying no. So on the saturday we were there and had just finished a cup of tea. I was all ready to go home and I was like can we go now and tim said no. My grandma kept smiling at me... totally suss. Anyways tim finally got up the courage and got down on one knee on the kitchen floor and asked me. My grandparents were SO happy and took a million pics. It was really nice because my grandparents are really important and close to me.

So our first night on Hamilton Island, we went to Mariners and it was sunset, over our first glass of wine he took out a box said I know I said we would wait, but I can't wait anymore and will you marry me.....well I said noooo are you serious! I didn't believe it..... I was over the moon of course and eventually said yes.....the ring was exactly what i had described and fitted perfectly.
Our holiday after that was even more perfect. And it just keeps getting better being his wife....so so corny i know!

He on the other hand was not only anti marriage but he also told me that he loved being a bachelor as it was easier than having the "hassles" of a long term committment!
But as he says too, that was until he met me...after that he knew he had met his soul mate
We love our snowboarding so i booked us a holiday to Wanaka in New Zealand for 8 days last August.
We had beautiful sunny days with fresh powder up at Cardrona. One day i got on the chairlift infront of him and turned around to wave at him. He said that was when he knew it was the right time for him.
He wanted to write it on a fence that was covered in snow but was worried that some little kids would ruin it....so instead he took me over to the peak that over-looked the whole of Lake Wanaka.....got down on one knee as best he could (its hard when you have snow boots on and a board to juggle)..... and asked me to marry him
I giggled first and then said YES!
