Hi Ladies I will be joining you in the 2010 twins.
We haven't picked a firm date but definitely 2010.
I am thinking July but it could be quite cold so maybe march.
I have picked a dress and my cousin is making it and the bridesmaid dresses.
It is going to be semi-informal. Just so hubby doesn't have to wear a tie. (he hates them)
Having my 3 best girlfriends as bridesmaids. I am letting them pick their styles but will all be in the same colour material.
My little on is going to be my bridesmaid and we are tossing up between 2 places for both wedding and reception. (less travel that way)
I am hoping to have Lily's for flowers and haven't decided on my centrepeices yet (think that really needs to be decided once we pick the venue.
Does anyone know where I might find a checklist?
So much to do!

I am so excited!

hey girls, good to see some action here again.

melsa, hopefully you will be bragging about having one of those marriages thats lasted forever, where if one dies the other will follow shortly.
But, i totally understand the wanting to have an amazing wedding. It should be a once in a life time experience. for me i have prior experience unfortunately, but i know from that that doing exactly what you want is important they are memories and photos you will always look back on and if they arent what you imagined it kind of sucks.

Other important note: Marry a prince!!!! frogs never turn into them.

I havent planned anymore than i had months ago. but things are changing in other areas (going to buy a house, and then try for a baby next year) so i dont know how much that will affect our wedding plans. But still looking at March.

love hearing everyone else's plans. and the ban sounds about right. No one wants to hear about something so far in advance, and when your excited its hard to hold in. thank god we have this forum.

Yep, I agree. Sometimes I make myself sick talking about it !

Glad to have you here, hotterthansnot ! Sounds like the next few years are going to be extremely busy for you ! They may affect wedding plans, but I think if you really want to work it in to things, you will.

I've just signed up to do Law for the next 6-7 years while I work full-time and run a business and intend to be a property mogul ! LOL - so adding a wedding in to the mix is going to be errrrr.....interesting.

Nice to have you here LucheaB !!! Umm, you were looking for a schedule/list/planner of some sort?

I think i-do have some sort of planner thingy - not sure if that's what you're after but it might be useful. Go to http://www.i-do.com....dings/tools.asp and click on the planner.

Your little bub is sooo cute, by the way. What a gorgeous addition to your wedding ! Be careful, though. She'll probably steal most of the attention away from you both !

Thanks for that melsa. I will have a look but it sounds like what I am looking for.

I have no doubt that Lily will steal the day. But that's ok. Cos everyone always says she looks so much like me!

how is everyone????

good i hope.

kinda strange, blink.gif shannon asked me to marry him a couple of days ago. But its a little surreal as there is no ring as yet and i am not allowed to tell anyone (yeh right!) laugh.gif . I know that he'll be giving me the ring in the next twelve months and do the all out romantic (or embarrasing) suprise proposal. So, I guess i am ENGAGED!

i'm looking forward to getting the formalities out of the way so i/we can start really planning. nothing like being organised and getting what you want.

Thats it from me. anyone else have news??

Hi hotterthansnot........CONGRATULATIONS !!!

That's wonderful news for you both. Have you discussed the possibility of a 2010 wedding?

Why aren't you allowed to tell anyone though? It's a very difficult secret to keep.

I have no news, aside from the fact that we may not marry until 2012 now. Sheesh ! I'm tired of life's constraints constantly posing problems. I want everything in life and I want it now. I've decided to commence study next year and February marks the start of a long and laborious road to completion. I will still have to work full-time and run our business in addition. I have no idea how to cope with it all and I feel as though there's no way I can possibly fathom the notion of organising a wedding around it all. The wedding planning process is something that I want to enjoy as much as possible and savour every moment of. I tend to be rather highly strung when I'm unable to cope, so I don't want to stick my finger in too many pies and suffer for it (although I do enjoy pie).
It's just depressing, that's all. I'm a bit of a property mogul, too and I want properties, an adequate home for us, the job of my dreams, an easy and quick degree and the wedding of my dreams. It just sucks I have to prioritise as I can't have them all at the moment. I'd really like to just commit to a date and have one. I'm sure by the time we can actually do this, the venues we want will no longer exist, the fashions we prefer will no longer be fashionable and the people we'd like to attend will either be dead or won't talk to us anymore because we took so damn long !!!

Ok, enough of that silliness. Congrats again, hun.

melsa, its difficult you can feel kind of swamped with everything you want to do and until you actually have gotten somewhere physically with what you want it can be really hard to see clearly through your goals. is that kinda where your at with putting your wedding date off?

i know how thats how i get about trying to do alot of things over the next few years, but if your organised and determined you can get there.

i totally understand about getting highly strung. i am hopeless when i get stressed i cry at everything wether i am tired, sad, angry or just frustrated.

I think you will be able to do a wonderful job with all the things you have planned in the next few years and also be able to have a fabulous wedding. and if it has to take a little bit longer to happen then just enjoy the ride.

I told my best friend and i told all my girls in my net baby group. Everyone else has to wait till i have the ring.

The 2010 date was set months before we even got engaged...this is becoming a drawn out process

anyways, squash just woke from his nap so i have to run...

later

hi gem, so maybe 2010? tell us some more about you.

ok, just out of curiosity....who has had/is having an engagement party at some stage in this process?

and who is already planning it? or if you had one what did you do? (i am assuming for most of us its still in the future). This is one area i actually feel like i can start planning, and of course it will be a good practise run for me and FH to plan together.

For Me; i would prefer to invite everyone to the engagement party and throw a bbq in the backyard or at the park. i'm a fairly layed back person lol. Then have a slightly smaller wedding and of course the whole 10 yards.

For FH; he wants a massive wedding and a massive engagement party, and to hold both formally.

I'm kind of a very quiet person who doesnt like crowds, being center of attention, or hosting parties. So organising either should be interesting. if we dont kill each other first.

Hi! I will be joining you girls...

H2B and I had originally planned for a may 2009 wedding, but when it got to planning our budget we will need a little more time to save for our (or is it my?? ph34r.gif ) dream wedding.

So now we have decided to get married in 2010, no date as yet but we have plenty of time, though Im sure it will fly!
