Hello Everyone,

Just thought I might mention that I received my wedding photos back from the photographer today, and they were just awful! Not only did this man miss the wedding ceremony altogether, he managed to spill a full glass of wine on my dress and then sent me this terrible album where the colours are so warped my husband looks as red as a lobster! We had about 5 semi-decent pics in the whole album. I was very disappointed, as we payed almost a grand to have him there, and he didn't refund us any money for missing the ceremony.

He is from Waroona in Western Australia. I will try to scan a pic soon so everyone can see what I mean!

I don't like to bad-mouth people, he was a very nice man and put a lot of time into the day, but his quality of work and punctuality were terrible. I think it is important no one else makes the same mistake I did.

I hope you don't mind this advice.

Ooops. Have deleted his name. Thanks for the tip!!

Yes, he spilt a full glass of white wine on me just as we got to the reception. At least it wasn't red! What makes it worse, was he did it whilst helping himself to one of our cheese platters in the middle of the table by picking up the cheese knife, stabbing a piece of cheese and then eating the whole chunk straight off the knife!!! ohmy.gif I was horrified!
Apparently he went around to every table and did this with food, and my guests (unbeknowns to me) were all off in search of clean knives!!

And no he didn't offer to pay for the cleaning, nor did he even apologise to me for doing it. He just said 'Oh, Whoops' and then took off. On the day I managed to laugh the whole thing off, but getting a poor album has made it a bit harder to laugh at. I wrote him a letter last night requesting the digital copies of the photos so I can at least take them to one of my photographer friends to photoshop.

I organised my wedding from Melbourne and had it in WA, so I didn't do thorough research. I guess the moral of the story is: If something is REALLY important to you, do your homework first!!! Lesson learnt! smile.gif

Ohh I'm sorry to hear that. You poor thing!! Take a deep breath and have another look at the photos in a few days. Hopefully there not as bad as you first thought.... Maybe you can ask him to reprint a few of the really bad-colour ones or even turn them into black and whites instead and know one will ever know how shoddy the skin tones were.

Oooh, how do I put up the photos in here for all to see??

Wow, that is a fantastic idea about turning them into black and white pics. Thanks so much!!!!!!!! Maybe I can save a few pictures after all, even without the disk. biggrin.gif

I don't actually have a link to my make up website but I do to my jewellery.. But its a different scenario.. Leaving it in your personal profile is fine though.. What you've got there is fine too, but just be a tad careful cause we have had stalkers around her before.. Take it from me, I had two of them..! Maybe take down your last name sweet..x

Hopefully other people took some photos and you get some good ones out of that. Infact I have over 1000 photos from others and most of them are great.

Thanks for that Alli biggrin.gif And for everyone else's nice comments!

Here is one of the 'professional' photos:

IPB Image

Can you see how shiny our faces are and and how red my husband's face is? Not to mention most of the pics had someone's eyes closed in it or it was blurry!

What do you guys think about the quality of this pic?

Yeah, we have been getting heaps of photos from friends. They are not as good as professional pics, but there are still some nice ones so better than no photos at all!!
