I would like to know how much people paid or are paying for their flowers. Please do not include the church and reception flowers. Just the cost of the boquets, corsages and button holes.

We paid $850 for my bouquet, 3 bm bouquets, 1 fg bouquet, throwaway, 3 corsages, 1 bag spray, 5 buttonholes, 1 mini buttonhole and 2 huge boxes of flower petals.

We did pick roses, and they were specially ordered (honesty roses for me and pale lemon david austen tea roses for BMs), arranged in natural posies and my bouquet had hyacinths with pearls in the middle in amongst all the roses. (All roses were tightly packed and opened)..

(keep in mind I got married in Perth in 2002, prices do differ a bit)

1 x bride bouquet @ $165
Arm sheath, cluster stargazer liliums at base & extend narrow band to create length. Ad La-minuet roses around base. Lush greeneries. Approx 70cms finished length. Approx 1 dozen roses, 8-9 full lillies. White ribbon.

3 x bridesmaids bouquets @ $78 ea (total $234)
Small-medium posies of soft pink oriental lilliums and bridal pink roses. Oriental lilliums in the centre with a collar of roses. Greens as Bride. Ribbons as bride.

1 x flowergirl flower ball @ $50
La minuet and bridal pink roses in a ball shape with pink ribbons.

1 x flowergirl halo @ $35
La minuet and bridal pink roses

1 x groom buttonhole @ $9.50
2 La minuet roses with camellia leaves

8 buttonholes @ $8 ea ($64)
Single rose with camellia leaves (of bridal pink for the groomsmen, laser roses for the dads and my bro, whites for the minister and priest)

2 mums corsages @ $18 ea ($36)
Mini roses (figureene) in soft gold tones.

2 sisters mini corsages @ $12 ea ($24)

1 throwaway posy @ $40
Mini version of the bride bouquet

And not including the church's long low and delivery... I'll just add home delivery ($15)... and the final total is: $672.50 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Ok, the church's long low (flowers as bouquets) cost us $150 and $20 for delivery. Plus I also ordered leaves and fresh flowers for my cakes through my florist. All up, including a discount (actually, I think I got 2 - one for ordering so much, another for being a member of some wedding savings club) I paid about $737.

On top of that, the ladies at church did all my pew decorations (fresh flowers), 2 big entrance arrangements and a few extra bits and pieces for about another $300 or so. Well... I think? We bought the flowers, oasis and some greeneries from wholesalers, then I bought ribbons from Spotlight. I'm sure I've got the papers somewhere! And I paid about $25 for a huge bag of freeze dried blue/pink mix of hydrangeas, bougainvilleas and delphiniums for decorating reception tables.

I absolutely adored my flowers even if I had reservations about the bouquet when I first saw it. smile.gif If I get to do it all over again, I don't think I would change anything because my florist was brilliant.

From memory my flowers, excluding church flowers were about $500. Throaway was complimentary, which I think pretty much everyone does throw in.

Well, I am going very non-traditional and am only having bouquets for myself and my 3 bridesmaids. AND - they are all paper rose bouquets so I don't have to worry about storage or preserving. I bought them all last week for $40 each but I will be paying an extra $100 to have the 3 BMs bouquets taken apart and made into mixed ones.

I had no idea flowers costed that much, and that's not even including decorations. Thank god I have a SIL who's a florist otherwise I'd have to go without flowers.
Married 8th October 2005! I will love you today, tomorow, always!
