For those of you who have been researching photographers, and who have asked about the studio we used - well, I finally decided to talk about it.
Our story has been covered in a major metropolitan newspaper today:
Despite what is mentioned in the article, we did not receive any photos yesterday. We still do not have any proofs or files of our wedding day. For those of you who have been aware of this story since it started, we never completed our album plan. Our solicitor conveyed clear written and verbal instructions to the company about our album - we do not want this studio to produce our album for these reasons:
(1) we have not seen all of our proofs
(2) we did not complete an album plan
(3) we have made several requests - via a lawyer - for a refund of our money, to pay for our album to be done elsewhere (if we actually get our photos)
*Edited to add - we have not received any sort of compensation for the loss of our wedding video/DVD.
The number of complaints that have been lodged with the AIPP about this studio, has been left out of the report. I'm sure the report was edited for length/word count.
We did not sell our story. We are still out of pocket for the amount stated in the article
I hope that publishing this story has helped you in some way. I will appreciate hearing from you if this assisted your research about wedding photographers.
Thanks for reading. Good luck with your wedding photography.
P.S. Please keep our actual names off this forum. Legal proceedings continue ...

i get an error message
Something very odd has happened ... was the other thread pulled off the forum?
Why and how?
I've done a search and can't find it anywhere.
Can anyone shed some light on this??
Unless I'm completely blind and can't use the search form properly, the other thread has been deleted.
I know we're not meant to blatantly advertise on this forum, but are we not allowed to warn brides about unethical traders?
