That is a beautiful church - we considered it. I love the stairs at the front.

Our church won't allow any "non hymes" as they feel that there is a time and a place for celine dion and it isn't in there church (personally I disagree there is no time and no place for celine but thats just my opinion)

The church we are using though has an pipe organ and an organist who will play there. Maybe St Patricks has the same.

A number of churches have this rule. The chapel where I was married statedt that if you wanted to use CDs you would need to arrange for copyright permissions and then show evidence of it.

Good luck! smile.gif

Wow! I was married there(1st time) just over 10 yrs ago.. And we had a CD when walking out and 2 young girls singing during the service without a problem.

Maybe different priest, different rules?? Father Frank did our wedding, he has moved parishes now! And he was just brilliant.

Anyhow, have a wonderful wedding day.

Thanks ladies, My singer is with backing music.. I dont know if its going to be as special if she sings more than 2 songs!

I wonder if we took our own priest if he'd have that rule too?

St Judes at Randwick.

It is anglican - we decided to go with my faith in his area, to be fair to all.

There was a landmark court case recently where a church was sued for breach of copyright, they lost a couple of $mil. It's gotten churches in general pretty shaken up about copyright laws, because they just can't afford to take the risk. (I work for a church).

I don't think anyone will notice music while they are being seated, do you have someone to sign while you are signing the register? Agree with the sentiments above, they might be able to recommend someone.
