What do they always say "baby steps" at least it sounds like he's starting to do a bit of an improvement if he's at least eaten something. I bet he was so happy to see his mummy & daddy!! I love his pic in your sig, adorable!!

Still got paws & fingers crossed in our house for your family.

That's terrific news. I hope that these small improvements are frequent and that it means Jaspa is going to be out of the woods soon.

As for the pet store, if the issue arises, I'd get advice from the Consumer Affairs. I'm pulling this back to generic terms, so excuse my formal language: if there is a fault in the goods at the point of transaction then the merchant has an obligation to refund or exchange these goods.
To my knowledge there's quite a few stores that give a time limit or say 'no exchange or refund' but if there is a fault, they are legally obliged to pay or exchange it and they often put these store policies in to dissuade people from returning goods, so DON'T leave it at the store's word, they will do everything to make sure that they aren't left with an animal that is returned and too old to sell or has medical problems that will cost them money.
I'm not sure exactly what the deal is with live products but I would DEFINATELY take it up with Consumer Affairs if the need arose.

Furry hugs, I hope little Jaspa is better soon.

Oh your poor little puppy. I hope he is on the mend and comes home to you very soon.

Big hugs to you as well, it is terrible to have a sick furbaby.

Get well soon Jaspa!

Hello girls, Jaspa is still on a saline drip and antibotics and some other medications, i am calling him my litle druggo at the moment, he is still very sleepy, but really enjoys it when mummy comes and visits him, i have been seeing him 2 times a day and hubby has been comming up at night times too.
I think the vet is sick of seeing us, i hate to think how much his intensive care is costing the petshop but so far they have done the right thing by us and Japsa, they are footing the full bill at the vets for up to 22 days if neccessary, thanks Gayle for the info regarding our rights if things go bad i will give them a call.

They have rulled out a blockage now as he has had a couple of diareah (sp) episodes, they have alos ruled out any genetic fault and parvo, however they think he may have giardia which can be treated, so hopefully they can get him better.

he is eating now what they are giving him howver they are only give him a teaspoon at a time, and he is still occasionally still bring this up, he needs to want to eat and keep it down before we can bring him home.

thanks girls for you interest in Jaspa's health, will keep you all updated.

I hope he gets better soon. I thought it was illegal to sell puppies under 8 weeks of age? Perhaps you could contact the RSPCA. He is still to young to be sold IMO.

All the best little Jaspa.
