We've decided on 3 days in LA (disneyland & tours) and 5 days in Vegas (shopping, drag racing, day & night helicopter tours of Vegas, Hoover Dam & Grand Canyon).

I'm really excited about it all, just have to make the final payment and it's all set! biggrin.gif

Excellent! You'll have heaps of fun. It'll go very quickly though - make sure you enjoy it all!

I always wanted to go to disneyland - my dad promised me sad.gif

Yeah, we just thought to do something different. I know disneyland sounds like a place for kids, but, it's where every kid wanted to go when they were little.

This might be our only chance to go o/s before starting a family, so we're making the most of it smile.gif

We visit LA and Vegas on a regular basis.

3 days in LA id really not enough, you will spend 2 days at Disneyland itself.

There are heaps of tour companies that can take you around Hollywood(not so much downtown LA)

I agree with Miss Polly, I love Santa Monica. Walk from Venice beach up to the Santa Monica Pier, it's beautiful! We timed it so we walked just before sunset and ended up at the pier as the sun went down. So pretty.

Vegas is Awesome! Heaps to do day and night. Don't forget the outlet stores!!

Here are a few piccies from our last trip smile.gif

I think its so weird that so many of us are going to do roughly the same trips about the same time.

Who are you flying to the USA with, im flying Qantas to Sydney, then United Airlines to LA.

I have never flown with them b4, so im a little unsure.gif

Last time we went to the USA we flew with Air New Zealand, and they were awesome!

Where are you staying in vegas and LA Jaclyn?

Janelle - we are flying with QANTAS direct from brisbane to LA. We are staying at the Luxor in Vegas, that's the pyramid looking casino, and at the Ramada in LA and NY. I know that Ramada LA is somewhere up around universal studios, but no idea exactly where. Apparently its about 3 blocks from universal.

What about yourself?

Very kool.

In LA we are staying at Crowne Plaza Beverly Hills.
In Anaheim we are staying at Camellot Inn
In vegas we are staying at New York New York

We did the same trip in sept/oct 05, but this time we are staying at different places. We did stay at the luxor last time, is was nice, but i think if i stayed there again (we were going to, but NY NY is only a few $$ more expensive) we wouldnt stay in a pyrymid room, we would stay in the tower rooms, just my opinion. I think you get more nicer rooms if u stay in the tower rooms. wink.gif

I got so lost in the place tho, how excting! biggrin.gif

Janelle - it was a huge toss up for us between the new york new york and the luxor, they were the same price for the dates we are staying, H2B made the ultimate decision though. I'll have to find out which room we are in!

I'm so excited, but in the last few weeks the honeymoon hasn't even crossed my mind, still desperately trying to finish everything for the wedding!

I know the feeling, we have so much to do, and it seemed so far away only a short time ago, now it all needs to be done now!!! huh.gif

Our travel agent suggested we stay at NY NY as she had just come back from there are loved it, so yeah im taking her word for it, but i have done alot of looking at different reviews websites so i think itll be fine biggrin.gif

What are you most looking forward to doing in the USA? Is it your 1st time there?
