Hi Girls,

I know I've seen a few recommendations in here for bridal gown stores that cater for larger brides but for the life of me I can't think of any or find any except Sweethearts in Blacktown. Can anyone give me some names? Preferrably in Western Sydney? I've heard there are a few sales on at the moment so I thought it might be a good time to have a bit of a look.

Thanks,

Nicole

Callabro deals with brides up to size 26. They're in Parramatta and Toohey Road.

I'd recommend Bridal Avenue in the Dymocks building in the city. They sell Ros la Kelin which includes a 'Glamour Plus' range, and their standard gowns are stocked in around a size 14, which beats the size 8 or so stocked by Abbey Bridal next door.

Curv@cious Brides at Kirrawee. Dresses up to size 30. They are the most lovely ladies, and are very skilled about finding a dress to suit your size and body shape.

Hi There,

I am a size 18/ 20 and i found an amazing selection of dresses to try on in Miranda - At a shop called "Dressense" They stock quite a few designers but my dress is a Maggie S.

The ladies for really understanding, as i was shy and not happy with my size and really made the experience exciting and enjoyable - i can't recommend them more highly!!

Plus the selection was amazing (i tried on 10 dresses) and pretty reasonably priced .. i paid $1640 for the dress / veil and a handbag.

Hope this info is helpful!

Have fun- Trying on dresses is the most exciting part of the process!!

I know this post was originally from quite a few years ago.
Anyone have any other suggestions for Sydney plus size wedding dresses?
