Oh, how exciting Annie. I would love to go to Hawaii!!!

We're going to Melbourne for the day, depending on the weather we might go to the zoo to see the new elephant, or aquarium to see the penguins.

Fi, how is your new little puppy?

I am here too tongue.gif

We just got back from 3 weeks in USA-this time we went to New York, Vegas and Hawaii. I loved it all so much, and we are trying to work out when we can return again. It was that great!!!

We just bought a new cotton sateen quilt cover last night as our gift. Just white and simple but it is really lovely. On the day I am working and have a meeting after school so we may just go out for dinner somewhere local. Not really sure yet.

How is your puppy Fi? One of our fur babies passed away when we where in Hawaii and we only found out the night we returned. We are both so sad about it, and her poor sister is now lonely without her best friend. We may have to get another, but not ready just yet.

It's really nice to chat to you all again and find out what's going on in your lives!

Annie - I really love the small weddings when you get to go on a holiday. It's really nice. I must start suggesting an overseas wedding to one of my best friends!

April - How's your house renovations going? I must go back and look at that thread. And your ticker says you have lost so much weight! Congrats!! Your day to Melbourne sounds lovely. Is the baby Elephant open to see yet? I went to high school with the keeper and he's been on tv so much lately!!

Bettina - I'm sooooo sorry to hear about your puppy. That's awful. How was New York & Vegas. I've always wanted to go to both places.

Well I'm sure April and Bettina have seen photos of Molly on facebook but here is a pic for you anyway.

One of her as a puppy (sorry if it's huge I have been on this forum for years now and still don't know how to resize a photo!)

In Hawaii we just spent 8 nights on Oahu as we wanted to relax, but it turns out there was so much to do that we didn't get much time to relax, which is why we want to return.
We did heaps while we were there-
-Climbed Diamond Head (take water and wear a hat and good shoes-we wore thongs!!!)
-Went to Hanuma Bay to snorkel (take your own snorkel, just buy a set at any ABC store)This is closed on Tuesdays
-Caught a bus around the whole island up to the North Shore to see the big waves, pipeline etc
-Went to Pearl Harbour and the Swap meet markets at the stadium just down the road (markets are on wed and sat and maybe mon, just check if you are going there)
-Shop your heart out at Ala Moana (you need a week just for this!!!)
-Spend time wandering around Waikkiki beach-I found a cute shop called bamboo skye and got a lovely top and dress. There are heaps of shops just here-cheap and exxy
-Spend time at the beach, it was nice and quite when we were there. Maybe take a surf lesson
-Eat at eggs and things (delicious pancakes) Eat at cheesecake factory, also we had a lovely meal at the hula grill which is upstairs at the outrigger at the beach hotel
-Have a lava flow cocktail or two. All the cocktails were great
-We went to Paradise Cove Luau which was a fun night, but it got cold, so wear something warm. It was really windy from the water
-Go to the outlets if you want cheap clothing etc. We didn't make it as we ran out of time and had done the outlets in vegas, but I will go when I return
-Catch the bus everywhere, except the outlets. It costs $2.25 each and you need exact cash. Just pop the money in the dish/slide into slot and they will give you a transfer ticket, which allows you another ride until the time that is listed. Usually a few hours so great if you want to bus to ala moana for a few hours and then bus back!!!
Where are you staying?? I will give more suggestions when I think of things
-Go to Senor Frogs bar-we ran out of time but meant to be great
-Go to the Yard House-Has sooooo many beers on tap its great
Hipe these help, ask any questions you wish. I am so jealous. I want to return in June/July or Sep/Oct this year. It was so relaxing and just the best weather ever

That is a huge help B, thank you so much! You have answered some of my Qs that I was going to ask, about Ala Moana, the markets, etc.

We are staying at the Hilton Prince Kuhio which is overlooking Waikiki Beach, I think maybe a block back from the beach?

I will have to think of the questions I had. I have heard so many people talk about the Cheesecake Factory, but wanted to know if it is actually good there? And does Ala Moana have sportswear kinda shops, Adidas etc? I need new gym clothes!

Fi, Molly is gorgeous. She looks like such a friendly dog. That puppy pic is just so sweet!

We stayed there!!!It was great, had a lovely high room with beautiful views to watch the sun set. Really close to walk to beach and bus just across road. So very easy to get everywhere. The cheescake factory is great everywhere else, but mega packed at all hours in hawaii. We didn't actually eat in, but I got the advocado egg rolls as take away and clint got a burger or something. So go really early or for lunch if you want to eat there. Also Dukes on the beach is good, but busy also. There are sports shops and lots of surf shops, but I am not sure if adidas. If you look up on google the premium outlets in honolulu and check out the shops it will tell you if there is an outlet. I do remember seeing gym clothes though. There is footlocker etc Also if you want makeup look up sephora or mac and decide what you want before you go as it is insanely cheap compared to here. Even the pharmacy makeup revlon, loreal etc is sooo cheap, like $7 for foundation and $6 for eye shadow. Oh, you will love it.

Fi, your baby is gorgeous. It is great talking to everyone again. Can't believe we are up to two years.

Hi everyone, be nice to start this thread up again and start chatting like we used to?

I hope everyone had nice wedding anniversaries, we sure did, we stayed a reallly nice place Somerset on georges at Oyster Bay in Sydney, it was beautiful, then we went away camping for 2 weeks with gemma she loved it, she is now 4, starts school next year sad.gif

anyone else had babies? we haven't had anymore, we tried, and told we would need IVF so we talked and decided we have gemma , why try for more when we have a beautiful daughter already .

Dont really think there is anymore to tell about us.

Hi guys I went looking for this thread about 5 pages back and it was on the first page all the bloody time *face plants*

How are you all? Update Update Update PLEASE xxx

Well if you didn't know I am now the very very very proud mama of twins, who just turned 10 months, a son Noah Lloyd and daughter Chloe Millicent. They where 10 weeks premature and it was all very scary and draining but all behind us now. They are the light of my life.
They keep us very busy, so we dont have alot of free time, I'm still doing uni, working one day a week and we'r hoping that now the twins are a "little" easier to look after we can get back into our renovating and landscaping this spring/summer

miss you all

Time for an update.

Happy 3rd Anniversary to my fellow Feb 2nd girls and obviously everyone else who is celebrating later this month biggrin.gif

How are we all? How are you all celebrating this year? Meant to be leather i believe-well i got a leather Mimco handbag for xmas so that is my leather and i am trying to find a nice leather belt or wallet for clint-not a lot of time to go shopping though.

Tonight we are off to see hairspray and will have something for dinner before the show. Can't wait.

Other news is that I'm now a mumma to the devine miss willow and loving every second of her. Hope she behaves for my parents tonight as she decided she needed to be fed 3 times last night wacko.gif so i'm a little tired today.

Anyone got any travel plans etc? We are off to see some family and drive around Tasmania in March and I can't wait. I live to travel and can't wait to share the experience with Willow now smile.gif

Hope everyone is well-enjoy your special day xxx

Hey chickie!!! Happy anniversary to you too, and same to everyone else this month, it is hard to believe it has been three years! Where did the time go?

We aren't doing much today, we had planned to go to Melbourne and stay for the weekend, taking in the zoo and various other places we wanted to go to, however the weather isn't looking too kind, so we are postponing it for a few weeks.

Not much has happened here, Bri and I are still renovating our house, finally doing our spare room, which is soon to be a nursery wub.gif WE are expecting our first bubba in June this year, which we are terribly excited about.

Bettina we really should catch up one day in Melbs, I would love to meet you and Miss Willow (who is incredibly cute btw!)

Hope all is well with everyone else smile.gif
