I have a recurring dream that crops up every year or so, in which at least one of my teeth is loose and falls out, or it has inexplicably shattered and I am pulling bits of broken tooth out of my mouth! It feels so realistic that when I wake up I have to feel with my tongue to make sure all of my teeth are still there.

I seem to recall that my ex boyfriend used to have dreams similar to this as well, so I know that it's not just me. Does anyone know what dreaming about teeth (especially loose or broken ones) means?

Dreaming about teeth falling out (or breaking etc) is a really common dream...

Yep I dream about teeth falling out all the time. Awful stuff huh.gif I've been told its because I must worry too much about my appearance (you could be right there....) or as someone nastily put it 'i'm too vain!' haa haa.

This happens to me all the time. I grind my teeth in my sleep and this is what I think it stems from. It is when I am grinding my teeth that I dream it (or was I dreaming it) and it scares the living daylights out of me.

Wow, I had no idea that it was such a popular dream! I hope I'm not that subconsciously concerned with my appearance. lol.

I used to get that one every couple of months or so, but I read somewhere that it was to do with wanting control over your life. Mind you, I don't get it any more and I have never felt less in control of my life than I have this year smile.gif

I'm another one who loses their teeth in their sleep!! Mine all fall out, and i kee trying to put them back in again, or get to a dentist to fix them.
For me it was one of my anxiety dreams, for whatever the particular anxiety may be at the time. I have about 3 different recurrent types of anxiety dreams.

I've often had this dream where I'm spitting out a mouthful of loose teeth. It's always very vivid and uncomfortable. I always thought it symbolised coming into money but perhaps that's wishful thinking!

SAME Sariele!

I go through stages where I have 'teeth' or 'mouth' dreams.... Its one of the most common dreams... It has something to do with being worried about how u look and also telling lies....
