No no, I didn't actually get a date, I was just calculating the 21 days from when I ordered it. Maybe it takes a bit longer to get overseas.

mine is only going to sydney. they don't post overseas so then i will have to get my sisters to forward it on to me. mine should be here end of this week start of next week then. Can't wait.

Parents AlbumMy sisters just received Alastair's parents album and were very impressed with it. Here is the link, they said it looked very professional and the photos over the page looked good as well.

So now I can order my album and the one for my parents.

Does anyone know what the paper quality of the momento albums are like? Is it thin like magazine paper or thicker?

Looks great Simone!! How exciting, I can't wait to get mine! I have made another one for my dad and will order it once I receive the first one I made for my grandmother. Then I will make one for mum, and eventually I'll make a bigger one for us!

The paper is very thick and the album is thick like a hard cover novel. My sisters thought it was going to be like magazine paper, but much better then they expected. I am so happy now

Oh I'm glad the papers thick!

I'm in the process of scanning our pics and I'm not sure which resolution to scan them on (in the help section it says scan them on setting 8? Our scanner doesn't have this, you have to choose a dpi) Can one of you girls who have done an Momento album help me? Also some of our pics (later afternoon sunset) look more orange when they are scanned then they really are, anyone know why? Thanks!

we did one to use as our guest book, it had photo's of us growing up and had blank pages for people to sign. It was quite well received and lots of people asked Mum where we got it done. Even Dad was surprised by how well it turned out .... most of the photos were old ones scanned from printed photos and put into a digital format they turned out really really well.

I did one for our honeymoon which is a huge file, I will have to upload it from work when I go back to work. I will also be putting one together for the parents as a parents album as well as for ourselves biggrin.gif They are time consuming but the end result will only be as fabulous as you allow it to be biggrin.gif

BTW how did you get the pages black and how do you do the double page single photo ... I cannot seem to work it out .... oh and colour blocks how do you do those ?????

That album is brilliant abelka. Very very professional. How did you get the photos to be on a slant like that?

Just one thing, page 28 and page 29 looks like you have overlapped them too much so you can see two of everything. I didn't end up overlapping them and my parent album came back fine. Nothing was hidden in the binding.

Yes, fantastic album abelka! I agree with Simone, I didn't end up following momentos instructions for photos which overlap over two pages. They do end up looking exactly how they look in the preview and nothing seems to be lost in the binding, as Simone said.

I just got back my first album and I am highly impressed with the quality of it. I will definately be getting more done now!
