I have made an album of our honeymoon photos and seeing as how much people love photos around here tongue.gif , I have put them in my signature.

If anyone has any questions on New York, Vancouver, San Francisco or Mexico, feel free to ask me. I will be more than happy to help! biggrin.gif

I could never recommend Mexico enough! It was our fave part of the honeymoon. Although you have to go a bit deluxe to be safe. It is a third world country and there is a lot of bribing etc around so you do have to be careful of where to go and where not to go.

We were in a town called Zihuatenejo, which is sort of North west of Acupulco. We wanted somewhere very luxurious and private, rather than a multi-storey tourist resort. We were tossing up between two places, but went with Hotel Villa Del Sol. Every room has it's own infinity edge plunge pool, which sold it for us.

It was extremely hard to leave this place - it has been voted the best resort in Mexico for years running, although they don't advertise it - it's so not a pretentious place at all. But it is a bit pricey, although for the service and atmosphere of the place, it is well and truly worth every cent. 5 nights/6 days cost us around $3000 but we were in a really high priced room. And food and drinks cost $1000, but that is including every single meal and about 10 cocktails each every day, plus exquisite champagne, extravagent room service, etc.

Another place we looked at was La Casa Que Canta but it was more expensive, had no beach access, no private plunge pool, and some people we met who were staying there came to our hotel for the food cos it was so much better.

I could write forever, if you need any more info let me know.

Great pics Lisa!!!

Love the shot of you eating the hot dog in New York!

Was the statue of Liberty smaller than you expected? I was realy surprised when I saw it, I was thinking it would be massive!

How beautiful does everything in Mexico look? Man, I can't wait for our honeymoon now, the photo's of your room and the beach and daiquiri!! (yum!) have all made me want to go on holidays right now!!!

Thanks for the compliments gals.

Yeah, I totally thought the statue of Liberty would be visible from everywhere (don't know why), but you really have to look for it. And it sucks that you can't go up the top anymore - bloody terrorists have to wreck everything don't they?!

And kils, you will be on holidays before you know it! Lucky thing.

Yeah, we stayed in a Lagoon suite for 4 nights and upgraded to a beach suite for the last night. When we went they had a really great deal going and we saved a bit of cash - they basically gave us our first night free!

Empress - I know, as soon as Matty saw the bell he was like "look at me, look at me", such a dag! laugh.gif wub.gif

And they make the pillow art out of the flowers in your own garden, sooo beautiful. I kept trying to re-create it, all I can say is they must have a lot of practice! Ahhh, one day.....
