My FMIL has a friend who is a florist - she recently sold her business to a new guy but this is what I'm getting:

1 brides bouquet - gerberas
2 BM bouquets - gerberas
1 flowergirls basket - gerberas - worried I'll get to the ceremony and my then 4 yr old will have demolished the flowers so that's why they're in a basket
5 buttonholes - white roses
2 corsages (FMIL & mother of bride)

I'm not having flowers at the reception - have gone for funky boxes filled with pebbles and then silver foil spray decorations and helium balloons - people can fight over taking them home and they can keep them.

All of the flowers for $160! Complete bargain!! Even better is FMIL in paying for flowers! Isn't she wonderful!!!

oooh - mine's a bit more 'spensive, but i love my florist's work

We're spending $955 on ours:

Bride: cascading, loose arrangement of creamy white cymbidium orchids with deep red throat, magnolia branches with cream magnolia buds and dark philodendron leaf highlights

BMs: as per above, but with deep burgundy cymbidium orchids and port wine magnolia branches( smaller arrangement)

Buttonholes x 7: one orchid to match bouquets and dark foliage / magnolia buds

Cake: open portwine magnolias with small individual burgundy cymbid orchids, arranged down side of cake tiers

and throwaway and delivery.

We had
1 x bridal
1 x bridesmaid
1 x flowerbaby
1 x throwaway
Decorations for the pews a ribbon and lily on every second line about 13 in all
2 x large alterpieces (used again at the reception)
10 x table centrepieces (flowers and candles)
lots of leaf covered votives
a floral runner thing for the bridal table
couple of random vases scattered through the venue
6 ladies corsages
6 mens buttonholes
Gate decoration for the church (at MIL insistence!)

As you can tell I have a thing about flowers. We had roses and lillies. They were amazing. The cost about $1500
The cost also included set up and moving flowers between church and venue.
I loved my florist.

ours was roughly $1700. Don't remember the exact figure or the final break down but it was something like this

My bouquet $300
2 wrist corsages for bridesmaids $65 each = $195
4 button holes ($15 each) = $60
2 corsages for mothers ($30 each) = $60
cake flowers = $200
rose petals $150
table decorations ($65 per table and 9 tables) = $585

Hi girls,

I haven't bought my flowers yet but since the cost has been bought up here, I was wondering if someone was having/had calla lily bouquets if they could tell me approx how much did they cost?

At the moment we are thinking of November 2007 so they should be in season, I think they are anyway according to some sites.

Thanks biggrin.gif
