Hey everyone,

I was just interested in how much your wedding flowers ended up costing, and what types of flowers you had. There seems to be quite a difference depending on where you go! wink.gif

I've just booked a new florist, and my quote comes in slightly over $1000. This includes my bouquet, 6 corsages, 7 buttonholes, cake spray, centrepieces, a wreath, ceremony decorations and reception decorations, and a rose petal aisle.

This is for mainly roses, but some other cheaper flowers will be incorporated into the wreath, and ceremony decorations, to keeps cost down a little.

I haven't ordered mine or anything yet (as my wedding is a little ways away yet) but I found a site on the net for silk flowers and I will be looking at about $400, maybe less.

I will be needing 1 bridal bouquet, 3 BM's bouquets, 6 buttonholes & 4 corsages.

I thought that was a bl00dy good price for all of that.

Our florist charged us just under $1300 for my bouquet, 2 BM bouquets, 4 buttonholes, flowers for the cake, table centrepieces (flowers in vases same as my bouquet) and tea lights in vases for each setting.

Plus this cost also included the setup fee for the restaurant.

Mine were as follows:

1 x Bridal Bouquet of Oriental Lillies, Lisianthus and Orchids $155
3 x BM Bouquet of Lisianthus and Orchids $330
3 x Buttonholes (orchids) $24
5 x Wrist Corsages (orchids) $60
1 x Flowergirl Bouquet $70

So it came to just over $600 for our flowers then we also had flowers to decorate the ceremony, tables at the reception and the cake which were about another $500.

So all up nearly $1200.

We're having silk flowers - lots of roses and lillies.

Our total is $320 for the following

Bridal Bouquet - Cascade of roses, lillies and greenery ($160)
Bridesmaids x2 - ball bouquet of roses, lillies & greenery ($52ea, so $104)
Buttonholes x5 - Rose & greenery ($4ea, so $20)
Corsages x2 - 2 roses & greenery ($9.50 ea, so $19)
Delivery (+ free throw posy) - $20.00

Not bad given the amount of roses and the fact that I'm having two different colours for my BMs, so each bouquet has different coloured lillies (one mauve, one burgundy).

Company is based on Melb, but I'm in Canberra, and they also do fresh flowers to.

Because we're using silk flowers, our bouquets will still be 'fresh' by the reception, so our flowers will double as the Bridal table decorations - saves $$.
