We are in the process of looking for another house but we have to go and see the mortgage people to get finance approved. The thing is that my credit card is virtually up to its limit. I am sure that Terry knows this but I know when he sees it in black and white he'll flip. On the phone earlier he said to me "so are there going to be tears?" and I said "who's - mine or yours?" and he said "yours - because I'll be angry if you've maxed out your card." I'm scared!! sad.gif

I definetly think cut the card up and although its too late for this particular appointment at least you would be able to promise that by x amount of time it would be paid off as you are no longer able to access the funds wink.gif Definetly tell him before you get to the mortgage broker it's so embarassing arguing in front of people tongue.gif

I totally agree. I would be upfront with him before you go and get the tears and yelling/disapointment over with before you go.

I too am so glad I don't have a credit card. I could see myself having exactly the same problem!

Poor thing. I hate credit cards. dry.gif

I would tell him ASAP. I would definitely tell him when it's just the two of you, and not when you are sitting in front of some mortgage broker. blink.gif

Good Luck.

If I won the $21 million last weekend I would have offered to pay it off for you, but I didn't. sad.gif Sorry.

Perhaps think of closing the account?

Spending money that is yours is the first step to saving!

Credit cards are the devil.

We have a joint credit card - 1 account with 2 cards linked to it (IYKWIM) Makes things nice and simple and we both know exactly what is going on with it all the time.

I am sorry I cant help except maybe try and Pay as much off of it ASAP and cut it up? But DEFINATELY tell your Hubby now so it is just between the two of you not both of you and a stranger (that helps decide whether you get your money - sort of seems like you don't know what is going on with each other - monetry wise IYKWIM.

Hope you get this sorted out,
Hugs
Jesse

Grrr Credit cards... I was just paid off some then.. We got one last year for emergency needs on our honeymoon O/S and well didnt use it then and well now we have.. well mainly Me.. have maxed it out at a limit of 4 and 1/2 thousand and now im kicking my self.. my financial advisor offered to take it off me.. so instead i cut it up and will in turn be paying it off for a very long time!! its the worse thing I EVER did!! Im going to pay it off and then cut the limit to 1000 for emergencies ONLY and i wont keep it in my wallet thats for sure

So all in all you are definately not alone!!
