Just wondering what everyone spends on groceries each week. Can you say how many people (and animals) you are feeding on that amount.

I spend about $130 a week to feed 2 adults and 3 children and 2 cats and 1 dog..

My hubby loves to shop at the smaller gourmet independant shops so we spend around $180 a week for family of 3.

We spend about $120 a week, for Michael & I, plus Imogen and our cat.

This includes all meat, fruit & veg, cleaning products, etc plus nappies for the Madame.

I have no idea, we don't keep track. We do one big shop a week, and then a small shop every second day for fresh produce, milk, bread, and anything else we have forgotten.

I think we could easily spend $350 a fortnight for the four of us ph34r.gif

Mind you, we're feeding 3 dogs on that too. wink.gif

I would be really interested in seeing some grocery lists from the members who are feeding themselves/child and pets on between $100 - &150 a week..

it would be really handy for someone like me who needs to learn to shop within a budget!

Generally around maybe $110 a week, feeding two adults only ph34r.gif Trying really hard to get it down under a $100 a week, I dont know how we spend so much bloody money on food! We dont even eat meat more than once or twice a week! Midn you D does drink an awful lot of coffee.
That's for fruit, veg, meat, dry goods, occasional cleaning products (not most weeks) and occasional toiletries.

We used to spend between $150-$180 per week, but that was getting beyond a joke and we were throwing rotten food out.

I have since learnt to budget and now I write a proper shopping list, which includes organising 5 dinners weeekly in advance, so we now spend $180 per month on a big shop and for the other three weeks only $40-$50 on fresh veg/fruit/meat and other essentials.

We are feeding two adults and 1 big dog...i'm so proud of us for budgeting!!! Rob calls me the Supermarket NAZI!
