Good Feedback, really appreciate it.. even though it sounded like a bad experience for you.
I'm in charge of organising the entertainment for my friend's wedding and i must admit that reading these comments i'm starting to feel the preasure even though I've already booked the DJ... THINK POSITIVE smile.gif and go with the gut feeling I keep telling my self....

Girls,
I am sorry that things did not work out for you with your Dj. But thanks for letting the rest of us know.

I have them booked to do my wedding but in about 5 mins that is going to change. H2B and I have decided against using this company now that we have read all this. We figure if we use them against advice it would not be a smart move. So instead I have found someone else.

Dont these companies realize that the biggest advertisement that they have is their work and word of mouth. Surely they can see this or is it that they just dont care so long as they get their money!

Thanks for posting your experiences ladies, I have MobyDisc booked at the moment (I haven't paid a deposit yet) but after reading this I am admittedly shitting myself about it, I am posting on other forums as well to see if they have had any experience with them in my area (Perth).

Thanks again smile.gif and sorry to hear that some of you have had bad experiences with them, but thank you for sharing so that we don't make the same mistake. smile.gif

We had them booked as well - until I told one of my bridesmaids that we had booked a DJ insted of a band, and she said "oh that's good, as long as it's not M@bydisc".... Turns out they were actaully fired mid-way through her company's Christmas party last year... She is normally a really tolerant person but had nothing good to say!!!

I quickly cancelled and booked P@rtysound - so far so good and no news of any former complaints - they have been fantastic over the phone! Very professional. But it just goes to show that a great website and quick response time doesn't mean great service on the day!

This scares me a bit unsure.gif

It's been hard knowing who to book for what because none of my friends are married!!!!

Good luck girls!
J

I was fretting after reading this post before the wedding, but i can honesty say that the Moby DJ who did our wedding was fantastic! He did a stand up job! I would and will be recomending them now.

I think the thing with Moby is it depends where you are and what DJ you get...Just make sure when you recommend to friends make sure you get such and such (insert name)DJ so they get the one you had

I'm so glad it all went well for you Bek, I'm not sure i want to stuff around with changing my DJ 3 months out. We have an appointment with our function cooordinator next week so i will ask who they recceomend, and might change my booking. But as we have no requests other than soft romantic music during dinner and dance music after, i can't see us having issues.

well, went and spoke to the coordinator at our venue yesterday and asked about DJ reccomendations and she said they recomend Moby Disc, and that they have always been professional and done a great job, so i am going to stick with them. At least i have local feedback now.
