I wore my veil back all day. I was originally planning to only wear it for the ceremony but loved it so much that I wore it at most of the reception until hubby took it off. They look great in photos.

I think I'll end up going without a veil. The only one I've seen so far that I like is the one Simone had and I'm not sure that would go with my dress. The chiffon is very soft and floaty and my dress is made of a sort of taffeta material.

What does everyone think. Would the two different fabrics look bad together? It looked great with Simone's dress as her dress was a soft material.

I would probably agree Haysie but there are so many alternatives out there - even a mantilla veil. they can look good with the right dress or a fascinator?

I wore my (chapel length) veil over my face until my husband lifted it to kiss me. I took the veil out completely halfway through the photos as I didn't want to wear it to the reception.

I didn't vote because I did neither. I had my veil over my face down the aisle. And then my dad pulled it over my head and I had it off from then during the ceremony and all night. I am really happy with this because it meant Chris didn't have to stress about pulling it over and getting it caught in hair/tiara, and we have great photos during the ceremony.

Thanks for your response guys. I think I will go without though. I'm not really a veil type of person which is why until I saw Simon's veil I hadn't really even considered it. I'm going to have a hair and make-up trial soon so I'll ask if they can come up with a really nice hair style that will look good without a veil.

Don't worry. It happens all the time.
