I'm wearing one over my face for the 'walk', then my MOH is going to lift it off and make sure it's looking nice.. my brother's walking me down and I just don't trust him to do it tongue.gif

I don't think your sister will be offended if you don't wear it over your face, to each their own and it's not like you're refusing to wear it at all smile.gif

I wore mine over my face at the ceremony, kept it in my hair for pics, but took it out once we got to the reception

I didn't vote either because I haven't decided! I just picked mine up today because I am having my hair trial on Thursday! I tried it on and it felt weird having it over my face! I was planning on wearing it over my face and my hairdresser has already told me she is going to pin it in so it wont be going anywhere all day!

When I got it home today I was starting to think maybe I dont want one anymore...but maybe it was the fact that I tried it on with my jeans not my wedding dress!

Well it is funny you ask. I didn't think I would wear a veil and after seeing some particularly awful ones I was fairly adamant.

This morning a friend from work showed me a photo of a model in a gorgeous slimline gown with a train wearing a low pinned veil made form a very sheer floaty material.

It has sparked a rethink and now I may also wear a very long sheer floaty one that is pinned low in my low updo.

ps - I'll take it out for the reception. I don't particularly fancy lugging both the train of my dress AND veil around all night

It was really beautiful. I'll see if the mag I saw it in is still at work tomorrow and I'll scan the pic.

One reason i ask is because my sister lent me her veil as my something borrowed. Im excited about wearing it but not over the face. Does anyone think she will be offended that im not using it to its full purpose?

I don't think your sister would be offended at all, she will love the fact that you are wearing her veil as your something borrowed.

Was it a bit like mine allure? I wore a silk georgette veil (cathedral length) and I took mine off for the reception.
