Just curious if anyone is having their veil over their face through the ceremony or if it will just be kept back through the whole day.

It still looks strange to me having it over my face, but i guess im not used to it yet, so wanted to see if anyone else felt the same way.

I didn't vote because i am still tossing up over this one....

At the moment i am not having it over my face, but i think in the end i will have it for just the walk down the aisle then H2B can lift it off me when i reach him...

I think I want mine over my face... I want H2B to lift it over just before the long awaited kiss! biggrin.gif

Then thats it at the back for some photos and most likely pull it out if it annoys me!

I had my viel over my face when I walked down the aisle with my dad, he then lifted it over my head when he hand me over to the Groom. So from then on I had it at the back which I thought was a lot better than have it over the face throughout ceremony til the kiss.

Coz I find my viel extremely annoying, it was a long sleek type so it was very close to my face and was hanging around my eyelashes. When i was standing outside the wind blew the viel and it sticks to my lipstick.

At this stage I plan to have a low bun hairstyle, with the veil attached under the bun, at the nape of my neck. I've tried putting the veil over my face, but I don't think my veil is long enough, it looks like it doesn't reach far enough over the front. So I think I'll just be wearing it back.

I was going to just have it back but H2B has told me he is really looking frorward to the "veil lifting/kiss" part of the ceremony.

I am going to get dad to put back my veil as soon as he gives me away so I dont have to look through it. It is an outdoor ceremony and I dont want the wind pushing it into my face giving me an itchy nose!

Personally i haven't seen any photos of brides with a veil over their face that is flattering - however in person it looks lovely.
I'm not having mine over my face, I just don't think i'd feel comfortable.

I felt claustrophobic with a veil over my face so opted out of it but the veil I chose to wear wouldn't have gone over my face anyway.

Im not having mine over my face. Originally I didnt want a veil. My mum made such a whoo haa about it that I have gone with a thin fingertip veil which will just sit under my updo. It does look good with my dress as the dress is really plain at the back without the veil.

But having said that after all the whooo haaaa my mother isnt even going to attend the wedding now. GGGRRRRR family.......

I feel claustraphobic with a veil on - I normally get claustraphobic and so I have always said I don't want one - and everytime I try one on I hate it, but I am wondering whether I will regret it or not.

I figure I am not going to pay for one if I am not going to have it over my face so for me it will be all or nothing.

I will be having flowers though

I don't plan on having mine over my face. I don't think I would feel comfortable with it over my face.

One reason i ask is because my sister lent me her veil as my something borrowed. Im excited about wearing it but not over the face. Does anyone think she will be offended that im not using it to its full purpose?

I want to wear one all day but not over my face at all! I'm having a beachy sort of a wedding and think it would look silly, but if i was getting married in a church i would.
