Oh is it called SMS slang???? *don't have SMS ability on my mobile*

I thought it was just internet slang sad.gif

Oh well I guess some of my posts offend

*off to sulk*

LOL
oops is that offensive?

sorry couldn't help.

I am a quick thinker, therefore quick typer, I use MSN messenger at work frequently and sometimes I tell you, we just don't have the time to type out each and every word. (like I am doing in this and it's hard!)

Anyway, back to the OP. Yes good idea to do a search, but again someone has already talked about timeouts and yes, not all of u are on broadband or similar. Like me!

There are spelling errors because of basic grade 3 waggers (well you know what I mean) and there is typographical errors or what my Mum calls it "finger problems".
Yes it's annoying, BUT there are things that annoy us all (probably my post will get up a few noses).

We're all busy gals of course, and sometimes a great idea or a desperate question is easier to just type out and hit reply.

P.S - see! I couldn't even type this with out the dreaded SLANG!! *waddles around room tearing hair out*
another one with a Stalker.... bye bye!

ok sad.gif bad spelling sorry but some of us just aern't good spellers and also there are things called typos. Being in the newspaper industry i just type and spell check later before it goes to print if there is this option someone please point it out to me and i will use it so people are happy.
Also i didnt realise there was a search option so in future will use that too.

I’m dyslexic and have a bad time with spelling the There their Ect. Are my worst.
Maybe if there was a spell check function then it would not annoy so may people with the spelling also will help the bad spellers join in on more conversion and not sit back and say well I cant spell that word so I wont add a comment to save embarrassment.
Because I know my spelling is bad, I type it in word fist then copy and past it over.
And about what this topic is truly about, yes if people could do a search first, it saves doubling up.

Everybody is different and I love to read how people write and what words they create. I think some of you are being a bit tough on others unneccessarily.

i agree.

i love the diversity on this site. if i only wanted to chat with ppl who know how to decline a noun and conjugate a verb i wldn't be here.

i find it funny that ppl whose own punctuation isn't perfect can be so intolerant about other ppl's punctuation.

if it really bothers you campaign so that our education system is better resourced but don't criticise ppl whose punctuation is simply symptomatic of our poorly funded education system.

our society wd be better if we all exercised a bit more tolerance.

I agree that posts with absolutely no punctuation are difficult to follow, but it in the end, if you can't read or follow it, why not just move on to something else? I re-read all my posts before sending, as well as reading it after I send it and edit if necessary, but I don't get too fussy over it. I do get frustrated by excessive use of SMS slang, but it has to be pretty excessive!

As for the search function, it is useful in a small number of instances. I often don't use it because if I have a question I want fresh people, fresh ideas, not answers that were given 6 months or two years ago to someone else whose situation may or may not be exactly the same as mine. It is useful for questions that have an answer unlikely to have changed, but most things change, people change, and along with that comes new ideas and opinions. I could ask a question asked two years ago, about something specific, and get 50 completely different answers to the ones given two years ago. Search is handy for extra info I find, to see what people thought a while ago, but I have to say, I want to know what we think now, and how it is now.
