I always have my hair down and straight but I am having it a lot like Jackie O had hers and I love it. I feel very glam. biggrin.gif

Me too Lucy. If you need proof of how glam it can look, have a look at Busterellas up-style. Gorgeous! smile.gif

Hmm... up or down??

I ALWAYS wear mine up (convenience, I'm lazy and it it's a requirement for work) and H2B hates it. He is always trying to pull my little hair bands out, but I just hate hair around my face which is another reason to put it up.
So, I have asked for two hair trials.
If it's hot/muggy/windy or raining, it's going up, if it's a nice day, it will most likely be down. For his sake, I want it down, but it just doesn't seem to be "bridey" enough. All the piccies in the mags have the models with their hair up, and judging by these posts, so do most of you girls (models biggrin.gif ) are/did too.

What to do?
Good luck with finding a style a suit you. biggrin.gif

I wore mine up - it suited the theme of the wedding better, although my husband likes me wearing my hair down, our wedding was in december and there was a good chance the style wouldnt hold due to the heat.

I agree with all the other posts though - whatever you feel comfortable with is best!

up...though originally i was thinking down

since then i have bought a backless gown and think to show it off properly my hair needs to be up.

i dont mind as the girls here have said its that way sorted into a style and more likely not to go AWOL on me

I am definitely wearing mine down. It is only between chin and shoulder length normally so an up do would have meant having to grow my hair and I just hate it any longer thatn it is now.

I really wanted to look like me in the photos and as practically never wear my hair up the down style just seemed to be the best option.

I am still having a tiara/headpiece and veil though.

I must say the up do seems more bridal to me but unfortunately just didn't suit me.

I'm having mine 1/2 up,1/2 down & slightly curled/wave in it.

I really don't like how my face looks in photos when it's up,this is why i chose the 1/2 up-1/2 down option.

I think I'll have mine down with a few curls through it (people always say my hair is lovely when I wear it down but I usually have it in a plait).

Mostly down because I have a long neck and don't want to look like a goose/giraffe or have the Keira Knightley thing where ppl say you look like you're slouching even when you're not. I'm just going with what suits me more, if I was to have it up (esp in a bun) I'd look like a typical ballerina (all I'd need next is a tutu style tulle skirt wink.gif to complete the look). Everyone has told me I don't look nice with my hair up and I think so too.. Personally, I think if you have a short neck to wear it up cos it makes your neck look longer, and vice versa.

But I'd say go with what suits YOU and your dress... rather than by what everyone else is doing.

I also have been having the same dilema! I usually wear my hair down in everday life. I had great plans to wear it all up on our wedding day as Alan described me wearing my hair up in a dream he had of our wedding wub.gif so I was going to wear it all up...then I tried on my dress and sorta had most of my hair back with the veil on and my FSILS were saying how nice it looks with some of my hair down..totally ruined the only decision I was sure of! laugh.gif

After speaking with my friend who runs the bridal store I've decided I'm wearing it all up. She said she personally feels brides wearing their hair up look more elegant and it elongates their neck and shows off their face and declotage' (have no idea how to spell that!!!).

So at this stage...its up again! tongue.gif

I feel the same - I always wear my hair down and like to hide behind my hair so I have decided to go half way and have half up and half down!!!

I went to a wedding last week and the bride had her hair half up, half down with beautiful flowers in it. it looked absolutley lovely - I say what ever makes you feel more comfortable you should go with!!!

My hair is dead straigh and always tied back in an elastic but I am having it up with lovely curly bits. Had a trial for it and it looks great. I always thought I would wear it down but then again I was having a simple wedding dress and no train!
