I usually hate having my hair up, I guess you can say I like to hide behind it smile.gif

Thing is, I think I'd like to have mine up in a bun...you know the whole "you're the beautiful bride, show your face" blah blah blah business. I'd like to have it up, but I'm just thinking if I'd feel comfortable doing it. Since everyone will be looking at me! me! me! anyways. The being the centre of attention is a little scary to be honest, but it's just for a day!! tongue.gif

So I was wondering...are you (or did you) having your hair up or down?

I am a fan of the up do myself. For thos exact reasons. To show off your face, neck and shoulders and the style of your dress.

I am having my hair down. It suits me better.

Go with a style that will make you feel comfortable and that suits you best. Maybe try some up styles before the wedding and wear them out in public, see how you feel around other people. You don't want to feel self conscious on your wedding day.

There are some fantastic down styles that won't hide your face.

I definitely think you should go for a style that you will feel comfortable with! why dont you try having your hair up in a bun for a day, make sure you put makeup on and wear an outfit you love, even if all you're doing is going shopping!

I've decided to have mine half up/half down! its a common hairstyle for me, shows off my curls which H2B LOVES and yet I can still have hair on the crown of my head with a small tiara and a veil (which I love!) hhe

I had mine all up.

I don't actually wear my hair up that often (there's so much of it, and I go through hair ties like there's no tomorrow biggrin.gif) but I wanted an updo for the wedding because I do like wearing my hair up - if that all makes sense smile.gif

Plus, we got married on the beach, and the last thing I wanted was to be pulling hair out of my mouth during the vows laugh.gif

Go with what your comfortable with, but if you're still not sold, maybe try a couple of different 'do's?? As in, get your hairdresser to curl it or whatever and do a basic down style at the start of your trial, take some piccies, then get her to do an upstyle??

It is so important to feel as comfortable on the day as possible! If you think having it up will cause more stress and anxiety because everyone can clearly see your face then i'd have it down.

I couldn't decide on either so i'm having it half up, half down! tongue.gif

I am wearing my hair up for the following reasons:
- I always wear it down
- I think the up-dos is very formal and can look very stylish, even when they are just simple dos.
- It shows off my neck, shoulders
- I wont have to worry about it for the rest of the night and it wont get in my face.
- Hair down is high maintenance throughout the day.
- I think an up-do looks better with a veil.

Here are a few styles I am contemplating.

Hi all...

I can look really elegant when my hair at the front is parted to one side and pushed from one side over and falls a bit onto my forehead. I often do this when I am going to a business thing because I know it suits me so there is no question in my mind when thinking about wedding hair style. Then I am going to have one of those big sphere looking buns which comes up quite high with veil coming from the bottom of bun.

I choose my hair style so easily mwahahaha... at least I know myself well!!!

I think up hairstyles add that little bit more class to the event.

My bridesmaids I think will have half up half down with a very little pull back. I was hoping for light curls at the bottom of hair. Because I want them to look a lot different to me.

Almost like jets picture with the brunette:)

However a bigger bun. If my hair grows in time smile.gif

But I am going to have a little hair piece at the front of bun. I will show you a pic one day when I finally work out how to do it.

I always have my hair down and straight but I am having it a lot like Jackie O had hers and I love it. I feel very glam. biggrin.gif
