Just wanted to add snorkelling! All you would need to buy is a cheap snorkel/goggles for abour $25 if you don't already have them and otherwise it's a great, free activity! I recommend Balmoral and also Clovelly. I was going to say bushwalking too but lots of people have already mentioned that.

I live in Japan, so can't help with specifics - but here are some things we like to do for cheap.

Climb a mountain, ride your bike on a bike path (you can get things from the council that tell you where bike paths are and where they go) go to a new beach (and ride your bike there!)...

We also do things like give each other a $10 or $15 limit and then go to a market or op-shopping and see who can get the coolest stuff. Then we see who can get the highest price on ebay for it! So you actually MAKE money!

WE also go to crazy asian markets and buy strange tasty ingredients, for not much money and then go cook some feast!

Have you visited your local galleries lately? Often there are cool things on at arty spaces.

Go check out a free lecture - do you know how trippy the people are that go to those things - it's awesome for a laugh, especially if you take a hip flask of strong liquor with you.

Also, I am not Christian, but occasionally I will find a gospel baptist church just to go hear the singing and to have a wail - so fun! (just bring a slim novel for during the sermon!)
Let us ride the wave together all of our days...I promise to never let you go

I love this. It's now on my To Do List. laugh.gif

I once bought a Tsubi Tee for $2 at the markets and got sixty something dollars for it. Sweet! smile.gif

Well girls I went to the markets a fortnight ago with Shane and a girlfriend and we did the little game.

I bought a few things for around the $10 mark and I am winning! It's a great game because you can actually make money! biggrin.gif

Check out my winning item here! I'm a star.

We worked on a percentage though just to make it fair. My girlfriend bought a dress for $5 and sold it for $15.50. Shane bought a skirt (Mooks) for $5 and it's selling for $5 at the moment. I bought that Alannah Hill dress for $8 and it's selling for almost $30.

Thanks Kimba for the great concept! I'll be playing this game again and again. If anyone wants to have a comp on here we could do it once a month???? (Am I keen or what? blink.gif )

we spent the day looking at houses to buy. It can be depressing though but in a couple of months time we will be ready to sell and buy a new one so we can look seriously then. When we lived in Sydney we used to look at houses when they were open with no intention of buying at that point.

yeah, they do them at night - i used to work there! ph34r.gif

I don't know if they still do the toowong cemetery tour, but that was the uber scary one. lol. we'd have people freak out as soon as they couldn't see the streetlights anymore!

The gaol certainly has an odd 'feeling' about it at night... let's just say i didn't work back late too often!
