Hi girls

Just wondering whether or not you could all vote for me... we are having a local photographer who I LOVE, and I really want to get her digital album... which is $2500. I thought that it would be more than that, but there you go. Glenn had a fit, and is flat out refusing to let me, or my family, spend that many $$$.

So I am trying to prove my point! I would just like for you to vote for the amount that was closest to your photography cost. If I find that the majority of people had really cheap albums, then I will have to eat my hat... and resort to tears to get my way.

It's getting really frustrating - I feel like I am continually comprimising...

Thanks for your help lovelies!

Hi Laurette,

I understood what you meant tongue.gif and I voted.

There are a few other polls on this subject - perhaps do a search and see what the results were there too in your aid to sway H2B.

We are paying about $5500 for ours.. 2 photographers, all day coverage and a 32 side album i think. This also includes pre wedding shoot.

Our digital album which included 22 sides cost $3500 - however I ended up liking 33 sides and with the additional cost of enlargements, I ended up spending around $5500 ohmy.gif blink.gif ph34r.gif (this is not including $1500 for 3 parent albums...)

Either way, we are ecstatic with our album & pics and will treasure them always.

I think $2500 is extremely reasonable and don't believe you'd find the same quality for less....

For a digital album included thats reasonable.

Make sure everyone who votes you vote on price that includes the album cost not just coverage.

My package was about $2000 and it included coverage, a few other things like re-prints, and choice of four types of albums that had digital montages in it. And I thought that was really cheap. I jumped at it and couldnt refuse even though I was planning on a spending near the $1000 mark.

Have you take your H2B to a photography place? Show him the difference of what a few extra dollars can get you, he might be surprised.

Our is $4200. It includes two photographers (which we paid $400 extra for) and the digital 24 side album and all day coverage.

I figure if you want the digital album, then the cost is worth it.

We have the option of adding more pages later when the album is prodcuded.

Luckily enough, H2b loved the digital albums and said the price was worth it , he needed no convincing.

Ours was $1500. That includes all prints, digital originals and a presentation DVD. Covrage was for the whole day (including both he and I getting ready at our different locations) until the bridal waltz.

When H2B and I first discussed photography we had decided that we wanted nice photos but did not want to spend a fortune. I shopped around and we ended up speaking to about 6 different photgraphers. We have finally decided on a package that is around the $1500 mark. We spoke to photographers who offered packages ranging from as little as $1000 up to about $4000 for what we felt was an approximately similar package of phtoography for the entire day through to a mock cake cutting and bridal waltz. What we found was the cost is no inidcation of how good the photographer is or even if you will like them (and remember that you need to feel comfrotable with them on the day!).

You should try to take him to see some photographers and give him the chance to see the difference between the different photographers and what they offer. This is how i ended up getting my partner to decide the the little extra that I wanted to spend was not that bad if the end product was what we both wanted and we were both comfortable with the photographer on the day.

Good luck in achieving what you want.

Our package is costing us $3295 (includes 2 photographers, full day coverage and 16 sides in our album with lots of extras like B&W, Sepia etc) I suspect that once we see the photos that we will buy some more sides/pages for the album, which will probably increase the cost closer to the $4000 mark.

Our package is approx $3000, however I'm sure it will creep up to $4000 with extras (wall portraits). We shopped around and some photographers quoted us $6000 for very basic packages. I think $2500 is reasonable.

I dont want to sound like a cheap arse but I got my photographer for $795.! Obviously this is without an album, but I didn't want one. Instead I am getting a montage made up.. As I have adobe photoshop at home he has actually shown me how to create my own for next to nothing.! Not only does he have fabulous work but he's also showing me cost cutting ideas.!
Plus with everyone on here doing their own momento albums that may be another way for me to go.!
