My hair stylist is recreating the same hairdo for me and she reckons a veil won't hurt it. It's all about how naturally soft/loose you want it. My hair is going to look the same but actually be quite sculpted and won't fall out at the drop of a hat (or drop of a veil, ha ha ha biggrin.gif )

So get your hairdresser to play around with it at your trial, take some combs, or veil if you have it, and try to ruin the look to see how far you can push it.

I am having my trial with the Jackie O do in a few weeks. I will take my veil and let you know how I go. I can't part with it either! It's just too devine.

i would say if you had thick enough or long enough hair or a hairdresser with enough guts and alot of hairspray - anything can be done biggrin.gif

A hairdresser i spoke to said your hair would need to have short layers in it too because it sits loose on the sides of your face. I'd consider cutting my hair to have that style.. but only if i was 100% sure it was going to work!

My hairdresser said the style would work with the veil. I'm having soft curls and my hair down. She said all i need to do is have some of my hair back (sort of half up, half down, with more down than up) and a hell of a lot of hairspray to keep the comb in.

Hope is not lost!

I have ordered my veil and it comes in around 1st March, so I'll book my hair trial around then, and I will come back armed with photos and tips for you all.

But my hair has shorter layers in it like you said miss mookz, so that might be a bonus for me. Although I don't want it as messy around the face as Jackie O.

I too love this hairstyle! I had a trial yesterday with my hairdresser. She used the GHD and some holding spray.. it looked so beautiful! She ssid if you are having a veil (i didnt have one with me) it would have to sit low at the nape of the neck.
Problem was tho that after that I went to work, the curls had fallen out within 2 hours!! I am a bit worried as I have fine, blonde, hair that holds styles really well usually. I would recommend trialing it on your hair definately to see if it holds and using lots of holding spray!!
It is a really beautiful style though!

I'm having a similar hairstyle was well smile.gif I want a neater finish of a similar design.

Quite like the pic on page 81 of Bride to Be (Nov/Jan 06) edition. I absolutely love her hair complete with beautiful chandellier earrings.

I plan to take this pic and a few of Jackie O to my hair trial smile.gif

ps - no veil for me either smile.gif

Interesting that that 'do was done at the same hair salon as Jackie O (she flogs this hair salon on the radio ALL the time)

So Sydney girls - if you want this hair do maybe check them out... (PM me if you don't know what salon she goes to)

- the girl said she wanted Jacki O's do but the trial she had previously didn't work.

And Allure - the girls earrings are to die for!

Hey Kir, does it say where she got her earrings from. They're just what I'm after...
