Oooh Liz We're Date Twins!!!! 2nd of December Rocks!

Macca, didn't end up going to the florist...I forgot :S D'oh!
How can i forget??? I guess it was the lure of SHOPPING!!!

I have, however, emailed some and the responses aren't great....mostly their saying "tulips are a winter flower"......but its sooooo cold down here in Melbourne even in Summer! (well except for today, but it only started getting warm / hot very late in december...that's not summer gosh darn it!)

However! I have had a response from Feather Rose, they say they can do me a single blue feather rose to put in my bouquet to honour my mum. (Mum had blue feather roses for her bridesmaids back in the 70s) woohoo!

Hi all,
Im getting married New Years Eve up in the Hunter Valley Vineyards.
My logic tells me this is the one night of the year that even Grannys will stay up late and party on... and hopefully none of my guests will leave before I do!

Woops, I haven't posted for nearly 2 months!
Wow you girls chose your wedding dates really early. I think we chose ours early last year.
Silvermoon & NYEBride- I think New Years Eve is such a great day for a wedding. I love the fact that people don't/can't leave early. And free fireworks is such a bonus!
Well on the discussion of adopting healthy eating habits - it's so darn hard! I have to lose at least 10kgs or I'm going to cry, okay probably won't cry but, will be really angry with myself.
Macca - congratulations on deciding to elope! I keep having second thoughts about our wedding, as we both wanted to have a destination wedding in Bali but would be sad when most of the guests didnt turn up due to the expense of getting there. And it would be way too hot over there for me to wear my princess gown.
Okay what I've done since my last post...ummm...not much to tell the truth.
In my last post I had my ceremony, reception and my colours organised.
I've also got my florist who quoted me $500 all up for: my bouquet, 3 BM's bouquet, 6 buttonholes, 2 flower brooches (sp?), 24 centrepieces and 4 bridal table centrepieces.
Have nearly organised my Photographer and I've asked my dressmaker for a quote, so should have that soon I hope. And I should have my DJ, Decorator and Videographer organised my Easter.
You girls are kicking my butt in the organising department!

Hi Girls,

Well FH and i are going to see another photographer tomorrow morning.. this is our third. I know im fussy, but i cant justify spending so much money on photos that i dont think are perfect.

I'm trying to have a romance / country theme with red and white roses / love hearts, but its proving very difficult to come up with ideas for decorations. Well ones that haven't been used time and time again! And i thought i was creative...you sure learn a lot about yourself when planning a wedding lol!

Court, may i ask who your florist is? That seems like a pretty good deal..

I still have no idea how to make my signature and avatar on here... tried putting a pic of FH and i at engagement party and it said it was too big or something..hmmm

Hope your planning is going well chickys.

Hi Liz, sorry can't help with your avatar piccie being too big, maybe open it in paint and reduce it's size in there.
I live in WA and I'm getting married in Bunbury so I don't think you want my florist's details. But, she's just a lady that does it privately which is why it's so cheap, she doesn't advertise as she gets enough work through word of mouth.

ok, thanks for that.

I'm going to have to find one of those ladies i think lol.

My aunty wants me to ask my cousin who is a florist as she'll get me good rates she said, but i feel like a massive user considering i've met this girl like twice in my whole life and hardly spoken a word to her lol

see how i go ....

Yeah definetely ask her. Because you get to know your cousin better, you save money, she's still getting payed even if it's at reduced rates and she'll get more work from your wedding when you tell all your friends to use her too.

Wow you're a mover and groover. Hmm, I haven't even thought about what design I want for my wedding ring. Can we see your pre-wedding shots pretty please? And your bonbons look great. Are you just going to have them layed out on the tables ready to use or are you going to wrap them up with chocolates or something like that?
