Anyone else adopting healthy eating habits and exercise before the big day? I have a bit of weight to shift and after trying everything you could imagine I have decided to try the CSIRO diet as well as continue going to curves.

I have 11 months to shift some junk out of my trunk laugh.gif

Hi macca, ive chosen a strapless princess style gown so i want to get my upper body toned up and i also need to lose a coupe of kilos that crept on over christmas. I haven't done much exercise since i've been living in the uk - but there is a pool nearby that i've been telling myself i should go to for the last 6 months - hopefully that and a bit of healthy eating will do the trick!

Hi guys,

Whats everyone up to?

I've sent off some deposit cheques this week for the florist and hair/makeup lady. I've also decided with my sister (a BM) which material I want to use for the BMs dresses - its saitn in a bluey-green kind of colour. Now I just need to show it to H2B and hope he likes it, then I'll go buy it!

I'm also seeing my UK priest on Wednesday, so hopefully that will go well.

I've got my dress already so now I'm looking at hooped underskirts and alteration prices, I guess shoes will be the next thing on my list.

Hope the planning's going well for everyone.

Hi girls how have you all been?

I havent felt better....our wedding is off!! We decided today that we are going to elope. H2B and I arent really the type to go the flashy expense nor do we feel comfortable in front of a group of guests we hardly ever see. I don't care for makeup trials, invites, favours and all that jargon. Lol it would seem I have sort have known all along and constantly push the date back hoping that the excitement would eventually hit me. Alas no such excitement to date after nearly 3 years of engagement and I have felt pushed by his family into a day I wasnt happy to call my own.

I am looking into the finer details. I am unsure at this stage whether it will be a private affair or we will involve immediate family. It may be held down south or overseas but it will definitely be happening at the end of the year as planned.

We don't want to upset anyone by eloping but ultimately it is what we really want to do. A wedding is a lavish public affair and in reality marriage is a private union. We want to embrace that commitment and not lose sight of our desire to wed from stress and resentment.

Bring on December biggrin.gif

Hi Macca,

Wow, what a big decision, but you sound really happy about it. Couples at destination weddings with just a small number of guests always look so relaxed and stress free. It sounds great! You're still aiming for December then? I'm off to bed now cos it's late in the UK, but I just wanted to say congratulations on your decision - I imagine eloping is in some ways a tough thing to do with the pressure of families, but quite liberating at the same time.

Best of luck

How fabulous Macca! A holiday AND a Wedding!!! No muss, no fuss...nice

Don't stress Michele! It will all fall into place as you go along.
but I do want to see pics of the venues you check out along the way!

Not much to report here. I just pulled down my dress (in the box) to check again that moths haven't gotten in in the past 6 months (sad I know but its my fear and I'm giving in to it) And I've been wearing in my bridal shoes today...if i could just figure out how to put the "foot petals" in..LOL. AND we've started going to dance lessons again to perfect our technique...10 months to practise, we better be good!

Oh and I'm dragging Ben to a florist tomorrow to find out prices for the bouquets I want. I'm hoping to have tulips (early december wedding). I'll be telling the florist its "Late November" (like so late it's december he he he) and see how I go.

Huge hugs
Kitty

Wow it sounds like you girls are getting yourselves in order and steaming along in the short time I have been away from i-do.

Thanks Sharten and Kitty, I am more than happy and very very relieved. It has been the biggest weight lifted off my shoulders. I just have to decide now where to go and run from there. I am not in the greatest of hurry right now, just taking some time out to enjoy a few things coming up in the next month or so.

How did you go at the florist Kitty?

Michele have you looked into a reception venue?

Sharten did you end up buying that fabric? What did H2B think?

LI(SA) is there anything you havent thought of? wink.gif

Macca, that's great. It's best to do what feels right for you both. You can now enjoy all the planning again without the stress.

At the moment i'm looking into booking chair covers.
I still have to organise what the attendants & H2B are going to wear.
Not sure whether or not to have OOS booklets for our garden ceremony.

Today my feather wedding pen arrived from feathers.com & it's absolutely gorgeous.I'll post a pick soon.
Next week i'm hoping to get my wedding ring started to be made,my finger will be naked for 3 weeks!!

We're also looking into W.A for our honeymoon.

Hi Girls,

Our wedding day is 2nd December 2006. I live in the Hunter Valley in NSW.

My family think i'm obsessed, but it makes me feel good to know i'm not the only excited one!

So far we've organised our chapel, reception, caterer, were having a tour guide during our photo time as property we're having reception / ceremony at is very historic, have picked celebrant but need FH to meet him and give me the ok (and pray he has the date free).

Trying to be really creative with my ideas for invitations etc, i really want a cupcake cake, but can't justify spending $400 or more on a cake i probably wont even taste, so sussing out all the little cake shops and newspapers for little old ladies who bake cakes lol..

Hope you girls are having as much fun as i am, i'm so happy..still pinching myself that i'm going to be a bride!!
