We have set the date for Dec 2nd 2006. Haven't organised much yet though! We have booked the reception and chapel, and are currently in the process of booking a photographer and that's it. What have you done?

You have done much more than me! We've been kind of busy doing stuff around the house and garden(we bought our own place early this year, needed a bit of work!), so most wedding stuff has taken a bit of a back seat till after Christmas. I'm in Melbourne by the way, where are you?

Hi girls,

It's great to finally see this post, December seems to be a bit of a quiet month in the wedding world! I'm living in London and will be getting married in Brisbane on the 9thof December, so its just under a year to go now. I have booked my reception venue and chapel and bought my dress (already arrived). My mum is in charge of making the cake and BMs dresses. I've also pretty much made up my mind on the photographer, makeup artist and florist. I'll get my mum to check them out over christmas and book them for me if they're OK. What colours are you girls thinking of having? I'm thinking of a pistachio green and pink. I want something thats a little bit bright and summery!

Thanks for starting this thread macca,

Best of luck with all your plans

You guys have all done a lot more than us! Better start moving I guess, I'm now feeling very far behind. We have started thinking about colours, looking a probably something in the blue/purple range. And we have picked the bridal party so I guess that's something little done too! Are any of you in Melbourne?

Hi everyone,
Our wedding date is the 2nd of December, 2006. We are in Perth but, getting married down South.
So far we've only organised the ceremony and reception venues. I'm waiting until all the Christmas and New Year celebrations have ended before I make any appointments so that I can see multiple suppliers in one go, so I only have to make one or two trips specifically for that purpose.
It's great to see you are all so well planned, wish I was the same!
Our colours are: Red, Black and White, unless I change my mind again dry.gif

So far I have booked:-

Ordered my dress - arrives in March
Written my invitations
Ordered a sample pack of the paper I want, so waiting on that to get here.

Picked out the cake
Know what flowers I want
Picked out our rings, just saving the dep for them.

NYEBride how exciting! New Years is a wonderful date. I wish you all the best in finding your venue! Are you in the Eastern states? Will you be able to make the most of the fireworks?

Welcome NYE bride - I'm also getting married in Brisbane in Dec, so its good to see another Brizzie bride! I'm starting to panic a bit myself, I've got lots of things half organised but haven't paid many deposits yet - if you want my list of service providers let me know & I can PM it to you. What type of venue are you looking for? H2B wanted somewhere in the city so we ended up choosing the Tattersalls club - which was suprisingly fairly reasonably priced.

Is anyone else starting to panic? I know I've still got 11 months left, but now that its 2006 it seems so much closer than it did last week. I'm madly writing lists at the moment, there's so many things I've got to do! The top three things on my list are paying my deposits, choosing my wedding colours and sorting out a priest - I've got to talk to both my local one in London and one in Brisbane - so double the work! I found a nice pattern for the bridesmaid dresses which my mum is going to sew - its the one on the left in red - I'm thinking about either a dark blue/ dark blue green or something in between.

My sisters are all fairly skinny so I think the skirt style should be OK - what do you all think?

Agree that design is gorgeous...

We aren't having BM or GM the wedding party just consists of Chris, Myself and our three kids.

Shartan, we live on the northside off Brisbane so not actually looking in Brisbane itself for anything. but if you can PM your list, i may be able to get soem ideas and that would be fantastic biggrin.gif
