I had a dream last night which was freaky to say the least...

We went and stayed with some family friends (who's children are now in their teens, but for some reason in the dream were below 10)..I thought that in itself was weird!

Then...for some silly reason, they (both girls) drew little smilie faces all over my pillows ohmy.gif In blue and pink colours - I was mortified because in the dream that pillow cases were really expensive! laugh.gif

The in their front yard they had some big old trees (sort of like a haunted house on the outside) and I was walking around the trees to see if any people who used to live in the house had etched anything into them, I found a piece of tree branch that looked like a cat laugh.gif

Then I woke up laughing laugh.gif I am one strange woman I tells ya!

Oh and when I went back to sleep, I had a dream that I was at David Jones waiting for a lift - I hopped on to go to the 'Dining Room' department, but it was a bus!?!? What the...?

I love dreams!! I love how they make perfect sense when you are dreaming them and when you wake up you realise that everything was seriously warped!

I must have realised how strange it was to wake up laughing. laugh.gif
Jon told me I was laughing a fair bit and must have done so enough to wake myself up, then I continued to laugh because I was laughing laugh.gif He thinks it was cute tongue.gif I think it was weird! Even now, I chuckle at the thought!

I have no idea what the dream meant though?

Megan,

I'm partially cheating this time (ie: looking it up, not going it alone) on the italicised parts.

If you dream of a cat:
You may be expressing some fear or frustration especially when something is not going as planned. To dream that you chase the cat away, signifies that you will overcome your obstacles.

If you dream of wood:
To dream of wood, suggests that you are feeling dead inside and emotionless.

What did you do with the wooden cat once you found it?

Also, to dream of dead trees indicates that you feel there is no hope, the death of desires, etc.

To see your childhood friend in your dream, signifies regression into your past where you had no responsibilities and things were much simpler and carefree. You may be wanting to escape the the pressures and stresses of adulthood.

The faces:
To see a face in your dream, denotes the persona you choose to show to the world as opposed to how you really feel.

To dream that you are waiting for a bus, indicates a temporary setback in achieving your personal goals.

To dream that you are shopping, indicates your needs and desires. Consider what you are shopping for and what needs you are try to fulfill.

To dream that you are laughing, suggests that you need to lighten up and let go of your problems. Don't put so much pressure on yourself.

I think that's all pretty relevant to where you're at right now wink.gif You're lucky to dream such vivid dreams.

I can't really remember what I did with the wooden cat, I think I showed it to everyone and then put it back on the ground. It was really weird though as it was a normal tree branch, but then went out to look like the hind legs and the cat's face was painted on it...it's a bit hard to explain, but the branch wasn't 100% a cat, it just resembled the hind-legs with the face painted on it smile.gif

I was initially waiting for a lift, which then turned out to be some new-invention bus thingo. unsure.gif Everything about waiting for the lift was normal, but as soon as I boarded, it was a bus driving around the outside of the shopping mall laugh.gif

I was wanting to go to the Dining Department - no idea why as that's the only part of our house that really doesn't need anything! laugh.gif

More about lifts in dreams:

To dream that you are ascending in an elevator, signifies that you will quickly rise to status and wealth. You may have risen to a higher level of consciousness and are looking at the world from an elevated viewpoint. Descending in an elevator, denotes that misfortunes will crush and discourage you. The up and down action of the elevator may represent the ups and downs of your life go emerging out of and submerging into your subconscious.

To dream that the elevator is out of order or that it is not letting you off, symbolizes that your emotions have gotten out of control.

To dream that an elevator is falling out of control, refers to your fears of letting go. You may also be expressing your desire to give up and escape from some demanding situation. If the elevator stops just right before it crashes, then it indicates that if you hang on long enough, everything will turn out all fine in the end.

So by dreaming about waiting for a lift and getting a bus... that would symbolise wanting something and then getting something completely different? Not meeting my own expectations? That would make sense wink.gif
