QUOTE (squeaza @ Oct 2 2005, 09:22 PM)
I really like the idea, but I agree with everyone above that is needs to be sleeker and the curls need to be a bit more shiny and neat

Maybe something a little more like this? Hairstyle?

Have a gander through my hair album for some more ideas if you like biggrin.gif

Babes, I don't think its that bad. Someone before mentioned the Jackie O hairstyle. I had that hairstyle for my wedding (some pics in my signature) and although it didn't turn out exactly the same, I couldn't have asked the hairdresser to do a better job. It was fabulous and very shiny. Everyone said I looked like a 1920's movie star!! but that's another story. Was it your regular hairdresser that you go to? If so, ask her to try another style of curl. I don't think the curly chignon was too low either. Mine was low - sitting right on the nape of my neck to be exact and I had the veil pinned below that.

Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that it's not as bad as it seems, have another go and see what the result is.

Take Care,

kat

I agree with most of what the other girls have said.

It's not that bad, but it doesn't look formal enough.

I know you don't want formal, but it kinda looks like you've chucked your hair up yourself after washing it to keep it off your neck.

Even though you want a casual style, the hairdresser should still have done a much better job than that, it looks like she hasn't even blow-dried it, or curled it properly! I think choose another hair-dresser...

I think your hair would like fantastic like the pic in your album with the white flower that angelbel linked above.

If thats the look the hairdresser was going for, definitely go to another hairdresser!!!

I like it to be honest, but I guess it depends what type of wedding you are having, I had a relaxed wedding, so we (me and b/maids) had relaxed hair styles...

My girls had cute little low side buns, and I had my hair curled and kind of randomly pined up - board line messily! I actually went in with Jackie O's wedding pic but my hair is too fine to pull of the style, so we did a version of the messy curls that suited my hair style... and our wedding theme.

Something formal/slick for us would have looked stupid as it would not have gone with the outfits or theme of the day.

Married my hubby on 25/09/2006

Had our baby girl on 08/10/2011
I am so happy I could bust!!

Have you contempated a down do? I think loose curls would look great on you and give your hair more body.

Yeah, it looks like you've just chucked it up to clean the house or something!
