Try, try and try again - this is the one day you want to look sensational. Perhaps your photographer could recommend makeup artists that are reputable - many of them can.

I think you really need to take pictures of what you like to guide them and also explain why you were unhappy with previous trials - often they will have a completely different idea of what 'natural' is

Good luck

Whooooa, What a nerve.

I would give her the flick. She clearly doesnt appreciate how perfect the day needs to be, And I found out from my lady a trial is that.. you tell them what you want, and they trial it, she said if they dont get it, or not even close, they should do it again, and for free.. not ask for more cash.

This isnt a christmas party that will happen every year, and if it isnt right, there will be next time.

Babe, I know it was an expensive lesson, but imagine if you didnt have a trial, and that was your big day. (Thats my biggest fear).

Man... you should have had my mum with you (She aint short of words if things arent right)! and I love her to bits for it! She would have had your trial money back!

Dont be afraid to speak up to them either. I am sure some people hear Wedding and instantly bump up the cost and prey on innocent brides who want perfection. But we will unite and not let them get away with it!

That's awful sad.gif I think bad make-up artists should be banned...

Have you got a decent department store near you?? Quite a few of the good make-up brands do free in-store make-overs, go get a few of these and see if you like them and if the make-up artist who did them does weddings.

For really natural looks for fair people (me!) I lvoe Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier. I have had some Chanel make-up done for a ball once and it cost $30 dollars in-store redeemable on any make-up and so even if you don't like it you could leave with some lippie!

Even the body shop do good ones, although the products aren't as sophisticated, but it used to cost about $10.

Amber I pmed you someone highly recommended I just found out about who im going to try soon

I so wish I could publicise this woman and warn people not to go to her but ill let word of mouth do its thing - she is not only incompetent she is incredibly stupid - three words - word of mouth!

anyways sweets - ring this lady she looks very impressive!!

Love Pooks

p.s; ANGELBEL - I have let her know !!! I phoned her told her I would not be booking her and exactly what I thought of her apalling makeup job and putting things on peoples skin without getting their consent and finding out their skin and if it handles it!! I mentioned duty of care and negligable conduct and poor service. Oh im so sorry she says if only you had of said - grrrr - I lost it I said dont you come that at me - you didnt bother to ask or inform and you treated me like I was just a number trying to squeeze everyone in. I said did you wonder why the other girl just ran out - i bet I know why she probably couldnt wait to scrub it off and you probably made her late too!! actually everyone there i noticed just ran off in a hurry. I let her know that word of mouth is a powerful thing and if i wasnt so busy she would be hearing from me via a legal document. oooh Pooky doesnt normally get angry like this but enough is enough - after i heard she did it to you too Amber I couldnt stop myself.

I would definitely try someone else. I hope they wouldn't leave you on your wedding day to attend to other customers. That is terrible.
