We decided to do a bit of cost cutting and not go for the suggested $550 wedding album that our photographer suggested but to get a similar but cheaper one or to DIY but the latter idea seems a bit hard to do and for the album not to look tacky!

Does anyone know of a shop/ internet site where I could get one for about $200 to $300 preferrably one that I could add more pages to later on?

I've seen them on *bay but want to shop around.

thanks,

You could possibly try some of the scrapbooking places that are around now. They are all over the place....you would just need to so a search in the yellow pages I suppose or even on google.

You would be able to get some lovely albums from a scrapbooking shop for the amount you are lookin at. They also have ones that you can add more pages to aswell.

Hope this helps

I was just about to suggest a scrapbooking album.

There are so many different types you can get these days.

From post bound leather covers, to a "photo front" to a cover yourself. All of which I've seen done both badly, and very well (yes, including the DIY album).

If you want a steer in the right direction for shops or suppliers, please PM me.

We found a gorgeous wedding album from My#$ for only $39.95. It is a beautiful fabric covered album with some small fabric flowers on the front and the pages are the plain thick card ones with that thin film between each page (can't think what you cal them). It will fit hundreds of photos in it and the album came in a presentation box to keep it safe. So, look around, you never know what you'll find.

I bought a gorgeous timber one off the internet. They have a website Timber wedding album
I bought the large one with the cutout for the photo in the front. I also got it engraved.
I think it cost $175 with postage.
