I was reading busy brides credit card thread and I seem to be the only one with no line of credit!

How many cards do you all have? Including Grace Bros cards and things like that.

I have a debit card and that's it. Not even an overdraft!

I voted one - as I only have one. H2B also has a credit card - we do not have any stroe cards etc. I usually only have a small limit and use it for everything and pay it out monthly - unless going on a holiday or something and then I will usually increase the limit...a practise that I am going to get out of. H2B and I have set ourselves a budget and we will have no credit card debt by the end of next month...not that ours is out of control...have just been 'living it up' a little lately and did not want to dip into our savings. Once they are paid out they will be used for larger purchases only though - and only in emergencies.

Too many for my liking, three credit, two store and still have more things to buy. Having said that, we are moving into our new house in two weeks (renting atm) so that sort of excuses us for spending it big.

ehhhhh!!!

What do you DO with 4? I am just curious...do you have one for each day of the week, or for groceries, clothes, entertainment?

Fill me in, I am a total credit virgin.

I feel inadequate here!

I have 2 amex cards - 1 that has no pre-paid spending limit which I use for large purchases, like airfares, and one with a set limit for day to day stuff. I get a good amount of frequent flyer points with these (ie, Milo and I flew to NZ last year business class from my amex usage).

I have a visa for when amex is not accepted, which is quite often unfortunately.

And I have a Myer card, which I hardly ever use.

I try to carry as little cash as possible, as my wallet very rudely eats it (similar to sock eating washing machine).

he he, I'm a credit virgin too so is h2b. I guess we're lucky, we always have $$ for things. We're sensible with money so I don't see the need for a credit card. I'm not concerned about going crazy and over-spending.

Do you girls keep track of receipts? At least with cash you can only spend what you have. I'd be concerned that I'd forget I bought something and spend money I didn't mean to.

yep - it's all cash here.

I love the idea of free flights though.

If we don't have it - we don't spend it...

But I feel so old-skool!

I have a visa card and a mastercard, both with different providers. We only use one and it is instead of carrying cash. We don't use it as a credit card as such as we never pay interest, we just like getting the points for what we spend!

hmm... i voted one, because i have a visa, but it is linked to my savings account, so it's actually a debit card masquarading as a credit card. no line of credit there.

discovered yesterday though that after my upcoming trip to perth i could get a free trip to brisbane, so am now thinking that frequent flyers are a good thing, and maybe should follow in clairs footsteps with many many credit purchases. would probably buy new furniture and go bankrupt though. not such a good idea.

We don't have any - we both have a Visa debit card for credit card transactions.

If we don't have the money for something we save up for it before we buy it!
