Next month will be Tim's first ever Father's Day, and James and I were wondering what we can do for Daddy... The first one is always going to be the most memorable, so I wanted it to be special. If anyone has any great ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Great to see you back Jo and CONGRATULATIONS !!!

Well I think definitely make a card and put little footprints or handprints on it - as a memory of how little they once were wub.gif (I have a birthday card like this from when Eloise was 6 weeks old).

As for gifts, mmm got me stumped there - framed pics for desk or something.. brain's gone numb! laugh.gif

Hi Jo,

Congratulations again on James' arrival. It's great to see you around on the Forums again too. biggrin.gif

I don't think anything beats capturing the moment like a photo. A framed photo of yourself and James would be a gorgeous gift, and I'm sure Tim would love it. John loved it when I gave him a framed photo of the girls last year for Father's Day. Fairly boring, but always a winner I reckon.

My son gave me for my first fathers day a pot for plants and it had his hand and footprints on it.
It was then painted with squiggly lines that were helped by mummy of coarse but it was nice.

it also had my favorite plant inside it which still grows on today 5 years later.

Just terracotta but it will always be the best present for fathers day.

laugh.gif freaky!! my hubby's online name is V similar! and that's just the sort of thing he'd say
i just ran into the lounge and demanded to know if he'd infiltrated my forums, but he assures me it's not him......

i really like the pot plant idea, it's cute and home made, but also manly ;-)

Ryan did (with my help - lots of help) a scrapbooking page for daddy that we will frame and put on the wall..

Lauryn hasnt done anything because she wont uncurl her toes long enough to do a footprint..

The other kids that I look after during the day have done hand and foot prints on canvas for their dads with a cute card that they all made themselves..

We bought tickets to the Socceroos Vs. Paraguay game at Suncorp during the week as part of his Fathers Day present.

Will probably get the obligatory socks & jocks - plus Immy's two beautiful kindy creations. (A handpainted cardboard tie and a keyring with her photo on it wub.gif)

Plus I'm giving him the news that he's going to be a Daddy again wub.gif
