she's said that we'll get our video by the end of this month, and our album by the end of august. if we don't have the letter by the end of the week, i'll get mark to ask her again.
i'm very much calmer about it all now.

It sounds as though they have simply lost the interest in their business and it is such a pity that they are just not interested in finalising everything and moving on with what ever they have chosen to move into.
YES you are paying top dollar! in reference though, you may not be paying 'their' top dollar = other clients may be paying 15,000 or so = respectable customer service??? Really this photographer just needs to learn a few things about customer service and good will. They seem too caught up in their own self importance.
Have your other friends who used them received their albums yet??
Once this is all settled and you have your album PLEASE, PLEASE, Please, if they are a member of AIPP use this association to help others. I know you will just want to forget about this whole trauma, and if these photographers have closed shop it probably isn't as much of an issue. BUT if you don't let these accociations know about problems that their members are causing they have no way of taking any action according to the membership agreements that these photographer sign.
People are directed to the AIPP list of photographers for 'reputable' businesses (not saying that if you are not a member of AIPP you are not 'reputable' or that this is the only way to choose your photographer) but the AIPP is tied from removing 'unreputable' photographers unless the general public puts in writing their complaint/s. (plus it's amazing how quickly a business moves when their peers are putting pressure on them)

If you dont want to go as far as contacting television shows just yet, another idea is going to NotGoodEnough.org You tell them everything that has happened and they contact the people on your behalf to try and sort everything out. Then in the end if there is no resolution, you could look at other avenues.

we got our DVD Show Case Reel on Friday, and its awsome, we're so happy with it.
It was meant to go for only 30 minutes but its 50 minutes long.
Now we just need to get our main album, and the saga will be over.

I can't believe that she took that long to get anything back to you guys!!! That is terrible!!!!! Especially at the price you are paying and she still has the gaull to say that you are not paying top dollar
Glad that you got your DVD at least!!! Hopefully your album won't be far away! I hope it is everything that you have waited for!!!

We saw our final layout with the photo's and its going to look amazing, so hopefully by the end of next week, we'll be over this nightmare.
No she's not doing weddings anymore. As far as I know the others don't have theirs yet either.
Maris - how you going babe - got your album yet?
