Well, I got my quote back and I'm pretty happy with it - it seems to fit in with all your quotes.

For $320 I'm getting

Bride's (me!) rose & lily bouquet
2 bridemaids rose & lily bouquets
4 rose buttonholes
1 corsage
Free throwaway posy

She was so lovely anyway, I couldn't resist saying yes on the spot (me, the little negotiator hey!!).

Cheers,
K

I'm not sure to be honest. I know I need a Brides bouquet, 2 bm bouquets, 2 flowergirl bouquets and 2 corsages and five button holes. I need flowers for the church as well and the throwaway.
It's great reading about what you have all been quoted , and for what type of flowers. It gives me an idea of what to expect when I meet with the florist next week. I was thinking of budgeting for about $1500.

Anyone who posted in this thread from Sydney? If so could you PM me cos I think I am paying 2 much for what I am getting? Is $290 for a bridal bouquet too much?

I budgeted $1,500 and got all my flowers for $1,000 so that was good.

1 x bridal bouquet
5 x BM bouquets
8 x buttonholes
2 x corsages
20 x pew decorations
rose petals for all the tables.

I think it would have ballooned considerably had we had centrepieces made of flowers.

It's probably not OTT. Mine's costing $480, but it's a very long trail that's fully wired. It all depends on what flowers you're having, and how much wiring is involved.

If you're not sure if you're getting a good quote, I'd suggest asking 1 or 2 others just to get a quick comparison before you make your final choice smile.gif

take care,
Jo

The flowers for the Cathedral, and all the bouquets, corsages, buttonholes will come to just over $600. Thankfully the flowers are included in the reception package!

I spent $56.90 (to be exact) on flowers!! (two bouquets - one for me and one for my bridesmaid)...

I actually went out to the Rocklea flower markets the day before, bought the flowers and put them together and I think they turned out pretty good!!

Flowers in the church were part of the $250 we paid to the church and the table centrepieces were part of the package at the reception.

I've got a quote $450 for...
My bouquet (Oriental lillies and singapore orchids -massive)
4 Brides Maids bougets (Oriental lillies)
7 button holes and 3 corsages
A garland for the flower girl.

Thats all well and good but that want to charge me a heap for flowers for the reception so I am still working out that one.
