Had my hair trial last night and the hair dresser was great, really knew what she was on about, did a great job on the hairstyle but OMG!!! the style just does not suit me.

When I got home, my H2B kept uncontrollably laughing - you know when you're desperately trying not to but can't help it! Boy did I get mad! Funny now but I felt pretty insulted. I mean, I'm trying to look all beautiful and I end up looking like Marge Simpson ohmy.gif

Check out the sad & sorry pics. Be brutally honest please & let me know your thoughts too...

i don't think our opinions matter.. if your hubby 2 b was laughing ...it obviously isn't the kind of reaction you were looking for ... your make up is absoolutley stunning... but i would think about another style so that h2b will go woohooo instead of ha ha

Thanks girls - I know there's no easy or nice way to say it looks terrible and you're right - H2B reaction is NOT the desired reaction.

Now I don't know whether to go back to her or try someone else? I've found it really hard to find a mobile hair dresser for some reason???

Can you get some friends over and have an afternoon of playing around with hair product, curlers, straightners, pins, etc? This is what I did with my sisters, it worked out really well. I found out what suited me the best. And it was heaps of fun!

Hehehe, in my make up pics, I had just roughly pulled it back myself!! Not even trying to have it look good.

Thanks CeeBee, good idea!

I agree about your hair in your make-up pictures as well!! It's very simple, but suits you beautifully

I think the hair trial style is stunning and very well done, but you're such a beautiful girl that I don't think you need anything quite so "big" IYKWIM???? The hairdresser is obviously talented, so maybe just speak to her and get her to do another trial but with something a little less elaborate.

Just my thoughts. You are going to look gorgeous regardless of what you do! smile.gif

I love the clip at the back though! I think the back view is lovely. but maybe have something similar but set lower on your head, as in at the base of your skull?

Thanks everyone! At least the makeup seems a winner laugh.gif

Jo - I know - just cause I'm short why try to make up another foot of height on my head?! laugh.gif

I've just been having a squiz at all the stunning newly weds trying to get inspiration and stumbled across Penelope's photo's - I just love her hairstyle & might try for this one in the next trial. Hoping Penelope doesn't mind but here is the link to her gorgeous pics.

Hi Karry - Iagree with your last post. Make-up is great and Penelope's hair was lovely. I think something like that, from what I can see in your photos, would suit you. I do love the option in your pics of Jackie O though....so if you don't mind, I've borrowed that idea and whacked it away with my hair ideas for my wedding (that is exactly what I was looking for).

I hope you can get exactly what you want.

Hi Karry

I think Penelope's hair style would suit you better, its lower and not such a "behive"! Your hair is done beautifully by your hairdresser, so talk to her.

Good luck

Sam

I think the makeup is gorgeous. In one of the pics, you had a few wisps of your fringe loose, and it looked lovely and soft.

This is my suggestion:
Would you consider having some soft curls at the front, with a lower bun? I agree with the other girls about having a lower bun - perhaps a looped chignon? Kinda like this pic but without the flower, and with a less pulled back fringe.

Only thing about a low chignon is what to do with the veil. If you wear the veil high on your head, you won't get to see the pretty little clip. Are you planning to wear the veil through the ceremony and the reception?
