I was on Dianne (which cleared my skin) but I put on weight. I had heard about another pill called Yasmin which has the same positive effect on your skin with no weight gain. I definitely lost a few kilos after I went on it and my skin is still good.I've also lost that 'puffy' look that was probably due to water retention from Dianne.

Hope this helps!

I've been taking Dianette (English version of Diane) and Diane for almost 7 years and I have never put on any weight from it. I took it for contraception and for my skin also. It never cleared my skin completely though. I tried coming off cause i was getting breakthrough bleeding but my skin totally broke out everywhere on my body. It was awful. I tried taking things other than going back on Diane but nothing was calming it down so I went back on it. The breakthrough bleeding was the only side-effect and I knew lots of other women getting that with other pills so I figured I'd just put up with it.

So I've never been able to clear my skin up completely but the sunny weather in Perth definitely helps and a good diet. I guess I'm happy enough with it usually, concealers save my life and I've worked my period around my wedding day so no breakouts the night before.

The advice about the different products is great though so thanks for that girls. Will def get a few facials I think. I tried Proactive a few years ago and found it didn't work at all really so I got my money back. That came from America though so not sure if it was a different strength.

I still recommend pr*activ@ as a short term solution, maybe just for 3 months before the wedding.

After exhausting all other avenues, I have now (finally) taken your advice. And I'm so glad I did! After one week i am seeing a huge improvement - it's amazing how something simple like having clear skin can really boost a girl's confidence!

Okay, so I'm in about my fourth week. I have to say I have still seen a definite improvement in my skin - the general texture and complexion is a lot, um, nicer(?)

My skin has not compelety cleared up though. I am still getting spots but they are more isolated then the mild acne I had before. It says that you should see a difference in 4 - 8 weeks so I am hoping that it will improve even further over then next month.

I have had some dryness, mainly on my neck and around my mouth. To combat this, I only use the moisturiser at night (I just wear a tinted moisturiser during the day) and put sorbelene on the affected areas. This has helped and the dryness is getting better.

I hope this helps...I'll update again in about four weeks - remind me if I forget!

i use proactive too.. i dont really notice the dying much. i dont have problem skin really.. i just want perfect skin!

but my problem is im really bad about taking care of it :\ sometimes i go to bed without washing my fash (this is SUPER BAD!) so dont do this! but don't overwash either.

im sure i could have really nice skin if i took better care, drank more water, took more vitamins, ate healtheir!! etc.,. and i hear fish (salmon) is very good for skin. but i dont eat seafood tongue.gif i wonder if fish oil pills would be comparible? and ive heard to take zinc as well.

i really like the proactive face mask.
