We used Peter Ryan from Cubist Photographics (he advertises on i-do), and he was FANTASTIC! Really good prices too...

Have a look at my professional piccies - I would highly recommend Peter!

Leisure Photography (advertises on I-Do)..

GREAT packages, and you get to keep the negatives!!

Very reasonable prices too.

We were delighted with our photographer - they were discrete, professional & produced results we couldn't be happier with (see some of my photos here - http://au.pg.photos....ding/my_photos).

Very reasonable too, and we got every print in 5 x 7, negatives & all on cd 2 weeks after the wedding. I chose to do our album myself, but we can now get reprints/enlargements wherever we want.

They don't advertise on i-do, so pm me for details if you like.

I will PM you with a guy I am using. I have heard that Fridays are a bit cheaper, but you would have to check.

Tips - I would say work out what you want before you start looking (ie. do you want all day coverage or just a few hours, do you want negs/CD of photos, do you want an album, do you want them to go to both bride and grooms house). This was the most stressful thing I had to book. Every price was so different, but I knew my main thing was that I wanted them all day from start to finish, so when quotes came in that didn't cover that, I just didn't look at them. There are so many photographers out there, make sure you go and meet with them and look through their photos - even if you look through a few of their albums. It is worth it.

Good Luck! smile.gif

I used Leisure Photography (they advertise on I-do) and they were great. Make sure that you get to keep the negatives. Sue was great with letting us know we could have them once the album was done, but some other photographers dont let you have them at all.

Firstly you should decide on the style you want. Do you want formal or more relaxed? I would go and look at as many photographers as you can, they will all have albums full of their photos. Then go with the ones you like!!

Ask what packages they have and if you get to keep the negatives.

I have PM'd you with some details, ours was fantastic, very relaxed and the photos are amazing!!

For starters with photographers you cannot just get a list of all the good ones...you need to actually like their style. So many photographers I see in magazines who are constantly mentioned in the "Real Wedding" sections but somehow I don't like their style so first you must decide on this.

Second do not settle for them to not give you the negatives...this will be so much more expensive for you...you just do not imagine the extra cost of having to go to them for reprints. Make sure that you negotiate this even if you pay a lil bit extra than their package ensure you have the negatives at the end.

no - not as yet. i have narrowed it down to 3 though i haven't had a chance this past week to even make appointments for us to go and visit. there are so many options with photography, ie. whether you want the negatives, whether you want digital/non, hours covered..... do you think, considering i am having it on a friday, there is room to negotiate prices for photography?
