My best friend and her husband recommended us to these Photographers in Newcastle, after looking at what a great job they had done on their photos we were prepared to not even shop around and went straight to this Company.

The husband and wife team were great, they were friendly easy going and helpful in any way they could be. We had about 6 meetings with them up till December last year.

I called up in January this year to organise an Engagment Photo session to be told that these people had sold up and moved elsewhere!! I was in total shock and didn't know what to say or do.

We arranged to meet this new guy and get to know him a little and had our engagment photos done.
In fairness to him he is a nice guy and after getting our photos back he is good at what he does but its just not the same when you go to someone because of their positive reputation only to get to the day and have someone totally different!

Anyway moving on, i'm not sure if I should ask him for a new contract? It is still trading under the same Company name though?

I can understand your worrying about this. I would call him and ask him to reconfirm all your booking details in writing, that way it covers you and gives you piece of mind as it is signed by him.
I would even explain that you only went to this company because you were recommended the husband and wife team & maybe you can be given a discount because of the changes so he can keep your business??? It is worth a try at least.
Let us know how you go.
Not long to go now.

Hey Beck, I can appreciate your concern. I would definately be checking to be sure the contract is still valid and that the terms that you agreed on with the original photographer will be met. If you are happy with his work than I don't see any reason to change, though I would definately be looking at his portfolio first and checking testimonials etc.

If you're not happy I can recommend our photographer, she was just amazing, so good we flew her to London to photograph our second wedding. PM me if you would like the details.
