Hi Girls,

My partner is exactly the same & is terrified of trying to look as if he's dancing, but I told him my dress is so huge that both of us will be kinda swaying, so we have chosen an up-beat song called "wrapped 'round her finger" by Country singer (and also mighty gorgeous) Brad Paisley. It's got a really good beat & will get everyone in the mood for dancin, & the words are really cute too (thinks it's time to put a ring on the finger I'm wrapped around!) It's really cool I love it!

Keep a pen & paper handy, so if he hears something on the radio or something you can jot it down. That's how we found our song. It's better than listening to endless soppy love CD's! It get's a bit depressing after a while! lol

Lisa.

We're having "All about loving you" from Bon Jovi's "Bounce" album. I guess it's what they call a power ballad...so even though it's semi slow it gets a bit up beat. Most importantly it has very meaningful lyrics which was something we were both looking for....and seeing I'm one of the biggest Bon Jovi fans ever...it worked out well wink.gif

Love does not consist of gazing at each other but looking outwards together in the same direction

Try & get him to come up with a few suggestions & see what they're like. We're having the song from Israel K (50 First Dates) for me walking down the aisle. I looooove this song. Makes me melt everytime I hear it - such a pretty song. My h2b who sounds like yours (men & their music - go figure - mine's favorite band is Iron Maiden - how sad!!) but try & let him play some part in the choice. Maybe even speak to your reception place or a dj or band if you're having one as they often know some great lesser known music you might want to look into.

Am I the only chick on here whose had to compromise & actually has to play a heavy metal song at her wedding? Love to know if anyone else has been suckered into doing something like this.

Sorry, overtaking your thread here...... I'll finish up now!!

Have you two not got a special song?? It doesn't have to be a slow song either but just something that is special to you both.

How about Alicia Keys - "If I Aint Got You"

Its romantic but still a bit jazzy wink.gif I personally love that song... trying to decide whether I should suprise H2B with it and sing it at the reception.. not sure wink.gif

I don't know if this will help or if it has already been suggested to you, I have a work friend and he is getting married in October this year...
He and his future wife are having a similar argument and it has been sugested to them that they pick a song each,

So you would end up with two wedding dances one a song you pick that says how you feel about your hubby and one hubby picks that is symbolic of how he feels about you.

That way both people are happy with the song they got to dance to and neither of you have to cover up who you are on the night to make the other happy.

If you wanted to you could each introduce your own song with a special message for the other as well....

Hope this helps some!!!!!!

I have just picked our song - (just have to get it past his royal highness) - it is neither fast or slow - Let's stay together by Al Green - beautiful song and not a sappy love song!!!

What about 'My baby just cares for me' or 'L.O.V.E' they are not too slow, easy to groove to and your great granny will love you!
Let us ride the wave together all of our days...I promise to never let you go
