We have a $200 a month allowance each and I spent mine in an hour. I had this outfit all picked out for a wedding I was going to, the weather had been sooooo nice so it was just a skirt and singlet. The day of the wedding comes and it's overcast and raining (not freezing but too cold for what I picked). So I went to the mall to get a cardigan. I got a one of those half cardigans that tie up at the front, a pink one (love pink). It cost me $50, I personally think that they should cut the price in half since they only give you half a cardigan....anyway, I also got a pink shawl mianly because I always wanted one (I don't even know if their fashionable at the moment)$50, and I got this really warm pink tartan (kinda looks like something an asian would wear) jacket with a fluffy hood. That cost $100. Paul said it was cute, but not $100 cute, I protested that I would have ended up getting one from a surf shop that would have cost $30 more and wouldn't have been half as cute! Hmmmm, I've kind of forgotten where I'm going with this.... oh, I really want to go on a HUGE shopping spree.

Okay so I just blew my great bargain hunting roll on a $220 top from Morrissey sad.gif

It just arrived in stores last week - a pure silk violet striped sheer poncho style flowy top.... it has delightful light layers and a cute simple string bow at one shoulder.

Half the cost of it was my anniversary present from h2b (our 4 year anniversary of being together ... yay)! but I've brought it to wear to the wedding tomorrow & for our Engagement party.

"I'll get a lot of wear out of it" is my theory today.

I won't be able to afford to go out anywhere for months now - so this might be my only problem blink.gif

Isn't that ALWAYS our excuse...but honey I will wear it heaps!! And then when we complain we have 'nothing to wear' and H2B remembers that one expensive item and we say "OH BUT I WORE THAT ALREADY" hahaahahahaahhahaha never ending cycle tongue.gif

ooh what about the shoes that "I brought ages ago remember? I just haven't worn them yet, they've been sitting in the wardrobe for yonks"!

"no of course they're not new! yes I agree, I do have many pairs and don't need any more... but I brought these ones ages ago"!

(they see right through us I'm sure but think it's cute the way we're so creative about it) tongue.gif

I just bought a cute pink satin strapless corset top for 39.95 marked down from $110.

Today I bought pink H3y sist@ bra with matching undies 20% off.

I very nearly bought a black strapless cocktail dress from My#r marked down to 17.95 from 79.95. I left it to look for shoes to go with it thinking noone else will buy it because its so tiny. I found the shoes at Z0mp also on sale for 70% which I left (I thought, who else has size 5 1/2 feet) to have another look at the dress to see if it would go. Dress is gone. Went back for shoes anyway. Shoes also gone. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I wonder if it's the same person who bought MY dress and My shoes.

Cool thread!
I'm bad for this one, as I've just been on holiday and made heaps of purchases!

- 20 gig iPod & accessories.
- skincare and makeup
- an awesome printed dress (a bit Missoni in style)
- a velvet dress
- a hat
- a black tailored jacket, with cute stich details and puffy sleeves
- 4 sets of lingerie, in the sales at David Jones 3 weeks ago
- Italian stockings/pantyhose
- a textured scarf
- some jewellery and a vintage-inspired broch
- 7 pairs of new shoes!
