Having been back at work for 3 days now, toiling away on CAD (and browsing the forums for relief biggrin.gif ), I've been wondering what the rest of you SHOULD be doing instead of being here?!

What type of job do you do? Is it full time/part time/casual/contract/stayathomemum/unemployed? Do you enjoy it? Do you study? What is your dream job?

I'm a contract Interior Designer - trying to get a full time permanent position - working for a company I really like.

At the moment, I am the only one here. There are usually two of us designers and the receptionist. The other designer is away on maternity leave and the receptionist is on holidays still. Hence, my trolling throught the forum for social contact. laugh.gif

So what do you do to earn a crust?
One day, in paradise

I am searching for my dream job, working in a lab!! There is a great one going at a school, it sounds perfect, and I hope I get it. I'm a Lending Officer in a WA credit union

Nope, it's not my dream job - i still don't know what that is!! I "fell" into lending 7 years ago and have worked in it since - i really enjoy it cause i get to help people buy there houses!

I have been studying a HR degree parttime distance through monash - but now i'm not so sure that's what i want to do

i am everyday looking more and more forward to being a mum (and no, that's not going to happen for a few years!!) - and slowly i think being a good mum is becoming my dream job!

Oh Tennille, maybe we will move over there! They're tough to come by here, and when they do come up, a million people apply for them!

I'm a merchandiser for Myers - Women's Designer Fashion.. I've been there for 3 months so far after having a long IT sales career..
Do I love it - I did at the start, it's a novelty dream job.. now not so much.
I think I'll be getting back to IT or some sort of office work.

Any jobs out there biggrin.gif

i'll be starting my 2nd year of my Nursing degree this year, and i currently work as a casual assistant in nursing at a hospital in sydney. on monday i start training for an insurance company taking inbound calls, but i have a feeling after this training i will have to quit anyway because of uni timetables (i warned them already!)

i'm loving nursing, it's my dream job! smile.gif the only thing that could make it better is when i'm doing it in the UK!!

i must say though: life's too short to be in a job you don't enjoy!

I am a Business Manager for Education Queensland within Human Resource Services. I'm permanent, full-time. Yes, a public servant! sad.gif

I develop budget bids and then profile the budgets once received and then monitor and report on them, as well as write Business Plans and Strategic Plans for the Branch. It's a very strategically focussed branch.

On top of this, I am a Project Manager, but currently only have one project with them..........THANK GOD!!

I get back on the merry go round next Monday. Have I enjoyed my holiday or what?????

Well, in August last year i quit my job as Customer Service/Accounts Receivable officer in order to have a few weeks break from such a crappy place to work, then intended to temp for a little while until i found another full-time job.

Then in September i found out i was pregnant so that sort of changed things work wise. Since then i have been temping here and there in office administration roles. I'm finishing the current role on 21st January and after that i am only going to take another role for a few weeks and then i will start "maternity leave".

Hopefully if all goes well i will be a stay at home mum for a couple of years to spend time with my bub, then will probably return part-time somewhere.

I work full time as a receptionist/data entry/collections I was studying accounting but couldn't stand it and now I am waiting to hear if I am going to get into Justice Studies - shouldn't be too long before I find out now. I study externally so I can still work full time.
