I thought it might be worth a reminder to everyone who posts in this forum, to try to remember to uncheck the enable signature box below the post window before submitting a post, IF your sig contains pics of children, or a ticker.

This is just courtesy and sensitivity to those who find it difficult to be reminded so blatently of what they do not yet have, and are fighting so hard for.

(I just realised I had my sig everywhere, and have edited my posts as a result, I just didn't think, sorry, hence this post to remind others too).

Could we perhaps sticky this post somehow?

Good idea! Should we aim to remove TTC tickers also - or just pregnancy tickers?

I think TTC tickers are fine.

Good idea Kell.

I think TTC are just fine. Avatars are probably not feasible given they change on everything. Pregnancy tickers are fine in the appropriate place, if I want to know how far along somebody is I can look at a post in the pregnancy forum.

I won't be removing my avatar and even if I still did have a picture of Lilly in my signature I wouldn't remove it. Just because I already have a child why should I be singled out if I need to use this forum too, I don't think that's fair girls.

Youre not singled out Alani, it affects my sig too. Sometimes it can be painful to look at pics of beautiful bubs and children in peoples sigs, when you cannot have one yourself. Its a cruel reminder of what you dont have, and it really hurts.

Its one forum, not that hard, and would save a lot of the pain thats already there in huge amounts for a lot of women here. Just a courtesy/sensitivity thing.

Kell, think me to be a bitch or what may for saying no but it is a bit like another forum I go to where people have photos of their stillborn babies as young as 21 weeks in their signatures. That sickens me out but I don't go and ask them to remove it however upsetting it is to me. I will instead use another forum for my assisted conception journey or whatever I have to face because I don't want to feel like I'm treading on anyones toes around this place.
I know TTC is a sensitive subject for many and probably I will offend with what I say so it's better for me not to come back in here me's thinks!

Alani, I dont want you to feel like you could offend. And some of us may see it as a sign of hope as Anita suggested, and some of us, on our bad days especially, will see those sigs and burst into tears thinking "why not me???"

To avoid extra hurt for those of us having a bad day, it'd just be a simple gesture of removing the sigs so that it saves us just a tiny bit of hurt, in a journey that is really hurt filled.

I don't feel that leaving my signiture is a bad thing. I know there are alot of ladies trying to concieve, but people who like to rejoice in their children aren't rubbing it in. My childrens names are in my signiture, to some people that could be rubbing it in like saying "hahaha i have kids you don't". and it's not! there is nothing worse than having a M/C or losing a child... and we will be here for support for everyone.

Do not even consider the fact that we think we are better because we have children. Because it is furthest from the point.

OK I honestly think this is not the place for a debate over something that really isn't a big request. Just humour us, please?

I don't plan on venturing in here often as I believe it should be a sanctuary for you ladies but I have no problem whatsoever removing my sig etc before posting if I do post.

My very best wishes go to you all.
