OOps, I thought the question was "How old were you when you got married?" so the poll may be out by one vote. I would say it depends on the couple but I was 26 when I got married.

Hi There!

Well - I am getting married this year and I will be 24 and my fiance will be 24 too! I don't really think that it really depends on the age - what matters is that you both believe in yourselves and your marriage/relationship. If you can honestly see yourself with that person 10 - 15 years down the track - THEN THAT IS WHAT COUNTS!

Best of Luck - Mozma

I think it depends on the couple, life experiences, where you are at at that point in your life etc. I was 26 when I got married, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't have been ready to get married, had I been 22.

The age you get married can depend on so many things... when you meet your Partner, whether you can afford to get married straight away, whether there are things you'd like to do first - like travel, buy a house etc.

Personally, I wouldn't have gotten married in my teens, as I had so much living to do, and so much to experience, but it's definitely up to the individual couple. A 22 year old, might have the maturity level of a 30 year old, so why shouldn't they get married, if they are both ready?

It's really a personal thing...

I was 23 and Shawn was 31.

I definitely think it depends on the couple.

I was 29 and James 30 when we married. Like others have said, it depends on the couple. There is no way I was mature enough to get married at 22 (and think maybe I wasn't at 29! wink.gif ) but I can see that there are others in this forum that have married or are getting married at a much younger age then I did, but they are much more mature then I was at the same age.

plus four miscarriages 03/06,12/07, 05/08 and 12/08 always loved and remembered
