OK, so for all of you who saw my photos from my actual hair trial, you'll remember me complaining that the curls were too tight, full and 'boofy'! I wanted to go for a softer look, so I curled my hair one night and took some photos. Obviously I haven't done anything exciting with it like pinned it up or anything, but you get the main idea.

So, what do you think? Tighter curls or looser curls? I'm getting my hair coloured this Saturday ... its gonna be blonde, blonde BLONDE! wub.gif

Hey sweet..

I actually like that tighter curls aswell.. remember that the curls in your hair will drop through out the day.. Are you having another hair trial and getting them to try the looser curls????

At the moment I would say go the tighter ones that you had in the first trial.. I like that.. But in the end its what you feel most comfortable in..

good luck and let us know what you decide..

Hey Natalie,

I agree the tighter in my opinion, but obviously go with what YOU thinks suits you better and what you are most comfortable with smile.gif

I am going to disagree with the other girls and say I much prefer the looser curls. This tighter curls looked a bit too "little girl" like if you know what I mean - like one of those porcelain dolls.
I also think looser curls look more romantic.

But the other girls are right, the curls will drop down a bit during the day.

Maybe in between the 2?

I prefer the looser curls it looks more elegant and romantic and relaxed smile.gif (if you can get all those things out of hair) laugh.gif

The tighter curls to me seem very 80s (no offence intended) unsure.gif

If you could go an in between where they will drop would look good

I prefer the elegant look

Thats just my opinion smile.gif

You might want to try a middle ground like CeeBee suggested

I have to say the looser curls are going to look better, but as the night progresses they are going to drop.
Ask your hair stylist to get some middle ground and it will look fantastic all night

I like the looser ones too smile.gif But like the others said, how much will they drop? how long before the ceremony are you going to have your hair done?

Clair and Emma, you guys understand exactly what I'm talking about ... woo hoo !!! I felt that the tight curls looked too 'woggy', yes 'little girl' and '80's' are great ways to explain it too, lol tongue.gif

I think I will definately go with the 'inbetween', get her to do them fairly tight in the morning to allow for them to drop a little/a lot at the reception. I'm not sure if I should go back for another trial and spend another $35 or just tell her on the day. My mum is actually going there to get her hair done next week, I might send her in with some pictures and see what she thinks.

Thanks again girls smile.gif

How well does your hair take to curls?

When the hairdresser told me to go for tighter curls because they will drop, I believed her and thats what I had for my hair trial- but once my hair is curled and sprayed with hairspray, it doesn't drop one bit!

I say go with the loose curls, because you are going to care if you look like a porcelein doll all day, and if you are like me, I couldn't care if my hair started looking like it only has a slight wave later on in the night.

I found that when the hairdresser did the curls with hot rollers to start with, then went over them with a LARGE curling iron after, they looked just how I wanted them to.

Thanks for the tip sweetie, I'll let my hairdresser know about the curling iron!
My hair stays in when it wants too, it's weird. It's very thick, long and heavy so the curls will definately drop by the end of the night, but like you ... that doesn't really bother me!

I agree with the girls and the 80's comment, and that some where in between would look great. Even if it dose drop out your hair is so nice I would not care.

For what it's worth...I think the fullness of the curls in yourDIY trial is just perfect.

Score one for DIY!
