I have both ginger beer and Saladas in the house, but I haven't actually tried either of them. I have eaten some of the ginger gummy bears that I usually eat for motion sickness, but they don't seem to make a difference either way.

Welcome, Nic. Estimates from the GP and Obs office have me due on either BIL's birthday or Niece2's birthday. Not as bad as a sibling though. If my bub comes on the 13th, it will be Niece1's 13th birthday, and she was born on SIL5's 13th birthday!

Today has been my worst day for queasiness, in terms of severity (throwing up was actually a possibility) but mostly cleared up in the afternoon.
I'm hoping tomorrow is better - I'm hanging out with my best friend.

Sequel can't wait to hear who you are. Scan went well one beautiful heart beat.
Vomited last night and today. It seems water needs to be icey cold and sipped slowly.
Happy to vomit all day if it means baby stays though.

Hope everyone is doing well

Katie, hope you feel better. Are you telling your bestie tomorrow?

Husband says no dry.gif laugh.gif I'm allowed to tell her next weekend, before our Intimo party (we booked it 2 days before I tested, and she'll think it's very strange I'm not buying bras!) Mum thinks I should tell annoying SIL (she's only annoying because she's decided I'm pregnant and won't let it go. That she's right is beside the point) at the same time, but Mum really doesn't understand that my best friend is way closer than any of our siblings, and I would have happily told her almost as soon as I found out if Husband didn't have a say in the matter.
I was very tempted to tell her today, but managed to resist. Luckily I was much better today than yesterday. Though I'd hate to actually throw up, and the queasiness is driving me nuts, at least it's a symptom that lets me know I'm really pregnant!

I'm sorry you've been sick, but how exciting to have a scan and hear a heartbeat!

Great news about the ultrasound Arial, but not good re vomiting.

I've had a blood nose today. That's a sure pregnancy sign for me as I only get them when pregnant.

It's oh so glamorous!

Nic, do you have the EDD yet? It's always good finding out when as it makes it seem even more real.

Blood noses do not sound fun, do you get any warning? I get bleeding gums but only when I clean my teeth.
I said to DH last night, I wish I was a glowing pregnant woman not a head in the toilet one. He was very sweet. Has anyone bought anything for bub yet? When do you think you will start shopping? We haven't, the biggest purchase I wasn't is an arms reach cosleeper. They weren't available here when E was born and I love the idea.

No purchases here either. I'm finding it really frustrating that Target and Big W have big sales of baby stuff at the moment! If only it was next month. I know SIL2 has a shed full of stuff from her kids and SIL3's kids put aside for us, so I don't think we'll have to buy much, but I don't know what's actually there. Plus, because it's our first, both sets of grandparents have offered to contribute (ILs will buy us and item of our choice - pusher, car seat, whatever. My parents will give us a lump sum!)

Nope, no warning re blood nose. Niiiice. wink.gif. I haven't had bleeding gums yet but have in the past.

I've bought some maternity clothes, and a few other bits and pieces.

I just carried out the Chinese gender predictor test. It will be interesting to see if it's true! It's been accurate in the past - but it's still 50/50! laugh.gif

Will any of you find out the gender pre birth?

I really don't want to know gender in advance, but my husband does, so we might end up with him knowing and me not! (and he'll be really annoying about it too)

We won't be finding out.

However if I wanted to I could and I'd be the annoying one taunting my husband. I'd be scared I'd let it slip as I tell him everything - especially something that big!

SIL2 had a similar issue - she wanted to know, her partner didn't, she knew she couldn't keep it secret from him. I think that was true for all 3 of her kids!
